Renewables: "talking 'bout my generation"

Question from PV novice -is there such a thing as "too much" generation?
Have spent most of the weekend so far looking at how the sun moves round the roof and can see that I will get very good coverage (is there a proper term?) for good deal of the day from about 6.30a.m. (SE) to 6.00p.m. SW (but also hardly any shading on SE until 3.00p.m.) as I live in a bungalow with no trees and hardly any shading. So I can see that running electric heating in winter during daytime (gas ch other times) will use a good deal, but in summer will the generation be too much?
You what!!! Too much generation!!!!!
I know I suggested you pop onto this thread and insult Oscar and Shafeeq (;)) but I never said anything about blasphemy. :rotfl:
Regarding light levels, I think there are proper terms, such as insolation levels etc, but daylight and sunlight probably suffice. Daylight is nice, with panels generating even out of the sun, but sunlight is the money maker.
In the summer you'll probably be generating up to 9pm ish, but don't expect to boil a kettle for free.
Mart.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

No need to apologise to Mart; he's used to it on hear.
Take a look at this: Put in your address or use auto locate and you will see how the sun hits your roof on whatever day you want...

Who am I supposed to be thanking for the sun shining ? I don't even think it would be appropriate to thank the forecasters for telling me in advance when it was going to shine (not that they often do !).NE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50 -
10.59 kWh on Friday , 9.6 yesterday and 13.04 today.
That's already brought Feb's daily average to just under the PVGIS forecast and another few days like that would be welcomed.
Alas, our weather forecasters can claim very little credit. On each of the last three days they'd told me "mainly cloudy but a few sunny intervals".NE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50 -
Yes,not a bad day indeed Eric up here in N derbyshire,a very nice 13.855kWh in the bag today, 3 loads in dishwasher, roast beef dinner,5 cups of tea(caravan kettle) and not a single watt bought from the grid.:D
