Another pretty good day in sunny Sussex - 11.01kWh.2kWp Solar PV - 10*200W Kioto, SMA Sunny Boy 2000HF, SSE facing, some shading in winter, 37° pitch, installed Jun-2011, inverter replaced Sep-2017 AND Feb-2022.0

13.3 kWh here; not a bad day, holidays soon, hope my inverter keeps working, good weather forecasted.2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax:

16.97kWh for today.
Just got my latest e.on bill(June-September).
526kWh electric = £83.00 compared to 1014kWh last year
126kWh gas = £7.00 compared to 857kWh last year.
Same tariff and price as last year.
£89.31 total spend for the 3 months:D
Still paying £84.00 a month so, expecting a cheque in the post.
£598.00 in payments to them and £1263.00 FITS payments to me.
Hoping for £1700.00 for full year
Also noticed that last September they increased my D/D to
£120.00 per month BSP(before solar panels) to match my usage,
so all in all:beer:16 Sanyo Hit 250s.4kWp SMA 3.8kWp inverter. SW roof. 28° pitch. Minimal shade. Nov 2011 install. Hybrid car. Ripple Kirk Hill. N.E Lincs Coast.0 -
Oh I don't know, you're probably right, I just thought it was more likely to be amps than milliamps, but now I think about it, 30A is a heck of a lot (7.2kW @ 240V), 100A even more so, so I'm probably talking rubbish.
Kevin, it might have helped if I'd mentioned earth fault, rather than assuming people were mind readers! It would probably also have been far better to wait for more info from Jim, before exploring sum random tangent.
Anyway, in for a penny and all that, found the info I read, here's an extract in case anyone is getting occasional earth tripping.
"If it's dedicated RCD, then upgrading to 100mA will sort the problem. I've seen earth leakage currents of 0mA on some systems, and for other systems right up to about 15mA under normal conditions. Inverters generally tolerate 20mA before they trip out, and it's deemed normal to be up at 10mA or more during wet weather (when the roof/frames/glass etc conducts better due to being wet). I've seen some systems leaking around 10-15mA which are generating perfectly normally, and yet if you touch the frame with your wrist - ie where skin is thinnest - you can feel a faint tingle from the earth leakage.
Earth leakage from the panels themselves is a function of the sum of the panels (assuming you haven't got a faulty panel/cable etc) - so if you have a 50kW system made up of c.300 panels, then earth leakage from the panels is going to be 10 times higher than for a 30panel system - therefore bigger systems are more likely to cause problems."
Mart.
PS. Another good day here with 13E + 7W, now fractionally ahead of target. Haven't been ahead in week 1 since March. What a year! M.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

22.4 yesterday
this weather's just coming into my roof angles sweet spot :beer:0 -

Based on his other posts it looks like legoman has successfully slashed his gas bill by 85% last quarter through the use of the ESE device (which turns on his immersion when the generation output reaches a threshold value, say 1.5kW), thus negating the need to heat his water using gas.Cider Country Solar PV generator: 3.7kWp Enfinity system on unshaded SE (-36deg azimuth) & 45deg roof0 -

I've been using energysavingexp's switch to divert excess power to my immersion. It has already paid for itself with the gas savings I have made in the last 5 months.

India summer continues here in cider country, 18.6kWh yesterday and 19.1kWh Wednesday. Currently running 30% above PVGIS for Sept and it is another cloudless sky this morning. In less than an hour we'll have beaten the full year PVGIS estimate of 3060kWh, with 44 days to go.Cider Country Solar PV generator: 3.7kWp Enfinity system on unshaded SE (-36deg azimuth) & 45deg roof0

probably worth stating whether its Climate-SAF or Classic PVGIS
I'm sure people use both, so it gets confusing
oh, and while I'm here
22.4 kWh yesterday
99.1 kWh so far this month
already generating 2.3 kW today :j0
