hi all
long time since i posted
see the same people saying the same [STRIKE]crap[/STRIKE] stuff on here
hello cardew,grahamc2003,digitaltoast,zeupater
Cap fits and all that
22.6 kWh today
and my 3rd quarterly reading of £632.67 today
so for my first nine months I've made:
£1,491.36 FiT payments
£173.29 saved on electricity payments (compared to last year)
for my first year my spreadsheet is now estimating:
£1,886,85 FiT payments (15.1% tax free)
£240.47 electricity savings
thats a total of £2,127.32 (17.03% tax free)
there is also an unspecified saving whacking the immersion on when appropriate to save heating water by gas.
my spreadsheet estimates i will have my capital repaid in 5 yrs and 141 days at the moment
that leaves me roughly 19.5 yrs to save up for an inverter or 2 that some say will explode at exactly 10 yrs 1 day when my warranty runs out
glad i didnt listen to the !!!!head(s) saying it wasnt a good investment
I'm extremely happy with my system, and with my investment.

Gutted to get back from holiday and find that the inverter stopped with an error on the day we left. 2 weeeks of prime August generation lost
Thats what you call a real 'Bummer'. I have had this happen once, but I spotted it before 8:00 in the morning around March. May have been lack of light, but I switched everything off on the inverter, waited 2 mins, back on and it started up ok. I always check the monitor as I come down stairs. I think most people on here check every 30 seconds if they are at home.:rotfl: On the brighter side, August wasn't that great anyway:(2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.

11.66kWh, getting better
. My 16th best day ever. How sad is that?

13.9 kWh today, not too bad. Monitor was telling me that I had done 2.93% more, but who believes a monitor.:rotfl: Current return is 13.48% of investment, tax free, that will do me.

as an aside, for those who remember the big argument
having now gone through a full summer and taking daily measurements
I've proved that my Owl IS more accurate in the summer than the winter, as I presumed before
ie it is more accurate at higher readings than low or no readings, as I suspected and Owl's own website says
so zuepater's argument of a CONSTANT error was wrong
I'm happy to help0 -

What if I didn't check the Meter tonight, it will mean my addiction of last 3 month might be over
