But I've heard nothing about a need for re-applying... only that there may be an annual requirement to confirm qualification (in my case due to receipt of ESA and associated disability premiums).
you have to re-apply for each of the 4 years,i`m with sse and emailed them last week to register for 2012/13 and they said they will send the forms in the next 28 days, those who automatically qualify dont need to re-apply,those who dont should bear in mind that the dwp have requested that a random sample will have to prove they get the benefits that qualify them0 -
Can someone confirm when my mother can apply for her £130 grant for 2012/13. She receives the savings element on top of her guaranteed pension credit and I understand that she falls into the core group for this year0

Moses Is your mum over the age of 80 as only then will she be in the core group? If so she will not need to apply as the DWP will write to her.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0

I'm puzzled as to why people are getting the warm home payment in March: I qualified for 2011/12 because I'm on Pension Credit and I got mine added to my prepay key in December. A waste of time getting it in March. You want it around the start of Winter!
Moses, your Mother can claim if she receives ONLY the guarantee part of Pension Credit or she is aged over 80 and gets BOTH the guarantee and savings part.0 -

Quite frankly, if I don't get my 2012/13 payment in December 2012 the electric company are going to get harassed something awful with the threat of switching! It's not NPower btw0 -
Well I got told by complaints team that there is a backlog on the warm discount payments for npower, but hopefully mine should be here by the 26th april. Not sure why it takes so long as I had a letter back in november confirming entitlement, but heres hoping.

With very great respect to all who post in this thread, this shows a complete disregard by the company for the welfare of its customers. People get it because they need it to keep their homes warm during winter. Not getting it in time causes extreme hardship. Personally I have no sympathy whatsoever for the energy companies. If they clearly don't have enough staff to care for their customers, switch provider!0 -
I can't quite remember the dealtails but I know that I did what I was asked to do.
My ex wife is on guarenteed pension credit as well as DLA . She had a letter (I think) and I called Eon and did what i was told. Eon said they would send the details over to DWP.
Anyway I called EON this week and they said they had no record of it and I needed to call DWP, aclled DWP who said it was EON's fault and all the ecords had been deleted.
She is on age concern dual fuel tariff
Any advice?0
