I asked British Gas this question and they said yes because your 'account' follows you where you go
Best to check after you move though just in case
I AGREE with you - I have struggled SO much this winter and I don't understand why they pay out at the beginning of spring rather than in winter at least when it would REALLY help us!0 -
Has anyone had there payment from British gas yet?

Ive got a little problem which im not sure on what to do.
I was with EDF till Dec last year and had applied for the discount but then changed to British gas and applied for it with them.

so what will happen now?
i have a prepayment meter so my key is a BG one so if i do get it from EDF could i put it onto the BG key?
any advice please as i dont want to lost the £130.0 -
I am with British Gas on a prepayment meter , no sign of mine yet , it should just go on itself one day via the key after I top up?
Is that correct please??0 -
For British Gas Key meters you will receive a barcoded letter that you take to the postoffice. They will scan it and add it on to your key.
For anyone moving house you MUST be on supply with British Gas to recieve the payment.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0 -

If with BG you must have the same account number as when you applied for the Warm Home discount.
Fortunately the person resetting my account gave me back my old customer number - which I was told was very cleaver as not many staff would have done that.
This was explained to me today when trying to sort out my bill, having changed company and then changed back because they offered me a cash incentive of £150, paid in two instalments after 3 and 12 months. and had already been awarded the Warm Front by BG, but not eligible with whom I switched to - EDF.
Still haven't got WF Grant, but told it will be in account by end of March.0
