diferent providers have different dates.. eon is 24th of jan, npower dont advertise a date... but still...
bg and eon state if you have 16190 or less income, and get CTC for a child under 5 then you qualify... surely the broader group should be set by govt for consistancy...
also, eon cover people in fuel poverty (group 3 of broader group)
if your old, or get CTC for somebody under 5, and your income is 16190 or less
its amazing that public funding is decided by power suppliers, and not the people it concerns: DWP/HMRC.0 -
The scheme is not "publicly funded", it is funded by the energy providers.
Yes but at the request of the Government. If a potential recipient is in the 'core' group then the energy providers are obliged by law to pay it. However if in the 'broader' group then it is each energy provider who decides who is eligible and not the DWP/HMRC. Consequently the eligibility criteria can be different for each energy supplier. Not very satisfactory.Do not be fooled into believing that this society cannot be made fairer because hard work isn't necessarily all it takes.
There are those on MSE DT who know the price of everything but the value of little.0 -

No not yet but i did it online and i spoke with them a few weeks ago and they said i will get it so not sure if i should get a form or not.0 -
I didn't get a form to complete last year and it was all done over the phone but this year BG wanted evidence of income and disability to be returned with the form they sent in January. It was very unclear what proof they required for low income and I had to phone them up twice to make sure I sent the correct information. The girl read a list out for me and I asked why they didn't send this list out in the first place to make things clearer!0

I applied for the warm home discount via my provider EDF and was told as I am in receipt of DLA and ESA I qualified but that I 'might' be asked for a letter of proof of benefits. Have never been asked for this letter so I am assuming I have qualified, does anyone know when EDF pay out?0
