I only just found out about this scheme. My husband is the main claimant of ESA in our house but the electricity is in my name - will this affect any hope of claiming the WHD please? Have filled out form with EDF and spoke on the phone to them so have to wait it out perhaps xxSealed Pot Challenge

Thanks Richard. The EDF form is actually quite misleading as they state you must receive 2 of the listed benefits. ESA is on the top section while ESA support group element is listed separately as is the disability element of ESA which my husband receives.
I filled it in anyway see what they say for next yearShame I wasn't aware of this earlier - EDF make no effort to tell you about it and been with them since hubby was put onto ESA xxx

I'm now being asked for further evidence to support my claim. The evidence I first sent in was after two telephone calls to BG support staff and they were quite clear I only needed copies of carer benefit entitlement and a copy of a blue badge.
I am waiting for them to call me back to see what evidence they now require.0 -
Hi
Is it correct that all of the suppliers income figure is your income from any job you may have and also any child tax/ working tax credit you also get?
Basically I tried to claim for the warm home discount as my income form my job was less than the just over £16k mentioned in the criteria by scottish power. But once I applied they said that I didn't qualify due to my child tax and working tax taking me over the limit.
Anything I have ever applied for like this never takes or hasn't done in my case in to account the tax credits I also receive. Insulation work I had done that was a similar limit around £16k and as my income from my job is less than that I got my loft insulation done free!0 -
