It's great when you get these type of savings, and they all mount up at the end of the day ...
  • For the first time in ages i have managed to pay both car and home insurance in one hit! (So no monthly payment with interest added). Feels like i have had a payrise. I took great delight in cancelling both direct debits (which were combined £70 per month)
  • Off into Edinburgh for some R&R with family today.
Busy couple of weeks ahead with work, so thats the trade off.
  • Sat with warm jumper on today as its freezing! Seems the weather is back with a vengance! Some work expenses to claim so into the OP pot it goes. Plan to start selling some stuff on ebay when the free listing weekend next appears. Roll on the summer weather.
  • Need to mark this day for future reference (keeps me on track. LOL) Today is the day i reduced my mortgage term by 6 years.....
  • Back from a short break, money saving is still going well. Have a clear 4 year target for OP of mortgage and "rainy day" savings. Wonder if i will hit my target. Well here goes, nothing ventured nothing gained. LOL.

How was the break? Did u do anything nice whilst in Edinburgh ?
  • Hi Elantan, thanks for your message/support. We managed to get a few days break in Pitlochry. Weather was cold, but sunny, dry days. Plenty of walking and an afternoon in the pub. Its good to be home. Cheaper break than we have been used to but just as much fun. Kids were worn out every day!:rotfl:
