www.otbeach.com - any experiences ?

My Advice is Be Careful.
My daughter and partner have had holiday to Turkey totally ruined by them. They have been booked on a flight to Turkey for ages now and all inclusive in 5* hotel. They thought all was well but have received an email saying flight from Newcastle no longer available.
A couple of weeks ago they changed their taxi transfer supplier too which has been paid for.
They have offered them flights on different days from Manchester or Gatwick. Only 160 miles or over 300 miles away. Just not on. They cannot afford to travel all the way down there, car parking etc. and cant change their holiday dates.
Seems they can maybe get flight refund but as hotel has 'apparently' been paid for already they may not get a refund from them if they cancel the whole holiday.
They have also asked them to possibly pick something else. Pretty shabby I reckon. Watch this space to see if they cough up and let them cancel with afull refund. After all they have ruined their holiday totally.
Taking advice on this.

That's awful Scottfire!:mad: Most people save really hard for their hols - how dare they mess people about like this! Makes me really mad. I hope they get their money back.

By the way, they are still advertising the cheap & unavailable flights that I booked - 4 days later!!!!

You can go right through the system to book it when they known full well the seats aren't available. Surely this must be against trading standards??

I wouldn't touch otbeach with a bargepole.

i was just about to book a holiday to turkey for this june using otbeach.com, think il give it a miss now and pay a little extra and go with someone else.

Just got back from Turkey. Booked with onthebeach, nightmare

On transfer bus rep told us our hotel not ready so going to an upgraded hotel.

Ended up in a 3* hovel; we had booked 4* (not a 4 star hovel i hasten to add!)

Have a long, long list of complaints and wont bore you with them

Abta have told us cant help cos even tho OtB are members of ABTA hotels4u.com, with whom the agents booked the hotel, arent covered by ABTA so got a long fight on our hands.

A word of caution: our original hotel, the PIGALE PANORAMA SUNSET is not open and doesnt look like it will be this season. If you get offered this Hotel DO NOT TAKE IT, you will get transferred to the PIGALE BEACH HOTEL which is a cr$p hole in the middle of nowhere.

I cant believe the agents (not just otb) are still offering a hotel that isnt open!

Met 4 other couples who had the same thing happen to them, so mass complaints on the way (again, not just otb acting as agents)

Hotels4U are still advertising this hotel

Anybody got a tele no. for customer services. I have a week in Beniddorm booked in November through this lot only because go2spain went bust. I am shittin myself after reading this forum. Anybody have any good experiences with otbeach.com?

Two things

they do NOT use a live booking system

They do NOT include transfers


Twice they leave the inevitable email saying please call and lo and behold th eholiday you booked is gone and they offer a more expensive alternative

avoid is my advice
