How can I add a hundred thanks to this post?0 -
Then pity you didn't guide him and your other kids to the right and proper road in life dear.robster1964 wrote: »I don't really think it my fault? But I love my boy! X
Right now, my 23 year old is working in A&E surgery. Your's is in prison.
If it's not your fault, who's is it?0 -

This must be in the running for the prize for sanctimonious post of the year.
What ever happened to be nice to all Moneysavers?0 -

I'm glad he is in prison as well. Personally I think he should stay there. He is a bully, violent and threatening and has never contributed one iota to society, yet he has produced offspring who are undoubtedly a further drain on society and now he is costing thousands of pounds a week in fees to keep society protected from him.
You say all your kids smoke illegal drugs. Great example to everyone they are. Just how much of their drug money comes from state benefits ?
Yes, I agree... I hope he does stay there.. I hope for his own good to see that freedom does mean opportunity etc I truly hope he see's how to get responsibility...
They don't now but, have.... Terrible admission but they have all tried drugs..
Thankfully, all the kids have used their education well and got good jobs... Dad is one of these self made, type people... who believes, if you have a pound, you can make it into 2 etc.... Which he and 1 of my boys and girl have done...
One of our daughters is disabled enough so she can't work or live alone.. So unfortunately, she is a drain on society, but generally we've never claimed any benefits..
Like I say, I am shocked with my boy how he got this way, it isn't by example0 -
His. He is an adult and responsible for his own actions. If you went to prison for doing something, would it be your fault or your parents? Then pity you didn't guide him and your other kids to the right and proper road in life dear.

Yes, prob right... Some where along the line I made a mistake and caused it...
But I have 5 kids, other 4 are fine... Your son is a credit to you.. Be proud and well done x0 -
Bad children are born to good parents, and the other way round. There are lots of factors, for example the lad's behaviour may possibly be due to the social environment, if perhaps it's a rough area with kids hanging around smoking dope being the norm (?) It may not be the OP's fault he's turned out the way he has.
Still, only HE can do something about it, and it doesn't sound like he has any intention of doing so..
Were there victims to his crime? They should be considered as well.0 -

I wish I knew how to multi quote
Your OP was was rational and I think most people could agree and sympathise with what you said , as on the whole your children will turn out to be what they want to be and it has no bearing on their up bringing
But you have said some strange things in subsequent postsVuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0 -
What an odd thing to say.robster1964 wrote: »One of our daughters is disabled enough so she can't work or live alone.. So unfortunately, she is a drain on society, but generally we've never claimed any benefits..0
