Dental pain is the worst ring 111 again explain what you're doing with alternating paracetamol and ibuprofen - nurse BIL recommends taking them every 3 hours and alternating - and you are still in agony. Hopefully not too long until it has been resolved.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Thanks Baileys Babe. Turns out I was a bit premature yesterday - I suddenly noticed the difference when the paracetamol kicked in alongside the ibuprofen. So I’m ok for now… but will definitely be calling dentist first thing tomorrow and demanding to be seen.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning all,
Thanks NG. Turns out the root of a wisdom tooth had died (and become aggravated - further up maybe?), so the dentist has removed the nerve and put a temporary filling in place. The tooth will have to come out though at a later date (she would have done it there and then, but I was going for lunch afterwards and didn't really want it to spoil that! (I had already paid for the lunch!). Also had a drs appointment about the other issue, so feeling well and truly poked and prodded now. Tooth is still sore, but that's to be expected - the searing pain has gone. Rather glad that today should be a much quieter day - I was hardly in the house yesterday as after my docs appt, DH and I went down to his parents to do some garage sorting (as we'd left all the pantry stuff on the dining table the weekend before last).
I won a box of lovely chocolately biscuits in the raffle at the lunchand it was a lovely meal.
So today I have some work from main European client to do, I need to sort out my savings account as it's not earning very much at all, I need to cook the cats' chicken as they've been living on kibble for days and I'm hoping to pop to Mum's and then Dad's this afternoon. And evening class tonight (no homework was set though!).
MS things:
* Clicks done
* Dentist was NHS and cheapest band for treatment, which I wasn't expecting
* Had a quick look at sunglasses in Costco yesterday - I want some prescription ones for our US holiday as I only use clip on ones in the car normally, which isn't healthy (as I won't wear them outside the car as they look ridiculous!). Frames I liked were £50, so will have to take prescription in and see how much they'll actually cost.
* RM survey bits done (I'm right at the end of my stint now)
* Starting the 7-day longitudinal PA survey today
Gratitudes:
* The pain has gone
* Lovely lunch with friends - am beginning to feel more a part of the group too
* Chip shop chips for tea
Looking forward to today being the day I get caught up with myself a bit - I seem to have been fire fighting since last Sunday (13th)!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Having five babes was less painful than toothache its the worst pain ever ,i am glad you are feeling better now6

Urgh, toothache is grim, glad they've sorted you out. Hope you enjoyed your lunch! Xx6

Thanks TH and Cheery - TH, good to know, as it's not entirely been ruled out yet and I did find myself thinking, if this isn't worse, there's no way I'd go through that!
I did enjoy my lunch - and it was fish pie, so easy on the teeth!
Some work has been completed but day has been derailed slightly as I've now got to collect something half an hour in the opposite direction of travel for FIL. (My fault, I offered, and I made the mistake of saying that I was flexible on pick up, which the woman interpreted as I could come today....). To be fair, if not today, it would probably have ended up being the weekend!
I have put washing on and opened an Atom instant saver for my buffer fund - just doing test transfers before I send a big chunk across.

The delivery of one of my children was traumatic and complicated but it was nothing in comparison to toothache. Which is the worst pain I can imagine and stops me from being able to think, I am very grateful to be living in a society with easy access to medical care a cheap effective treatment.

Afternoon all,
Bailey's Babe, it does indeed stop you from thinking - I think it's the proximity to the brain that makes it so painful.
My 'fun' week didn't end there. I woke up on Tuesday morning with lower back ache that didn't go away. THought it was a kidney infection, so had phone consult with doc yesterday, who asked for urine sample and prescribed antibiotics. Rings back later in afternoon to say there's no infection but blood in urine, go to A&E. So that's where I spent 4 hours yesterday evening, all for a face-to-face with a doctor, who did what my GP should have done, which is talk to me, poke and prod me and say it's unlikely to be kidney stones because the pain wasn't right for them and to go home. I'm feeling better today, although still not right, but am taking it easy and drinking lots of fluids (she said it could be a small stone, which would have to pass on its own anyway). If things aren't better in a couple of days, I'll get back to GP - a different one this time!
In other great news, I spilt water on my laptop yesterday, which has damaged the keyboard... Fortunately we have a spare keyboard and mouse, so I'm now using those, but I'll need to get the laptop fixed at some point (I do have laptop replacement savings in my business a/c so that's not the end of the world).
Moving on.... DH's regular saver matured on Tuesday so he's paid off the OP allowance in full for the year - we're under £30k now! We've also pretty much decided to stay put for now - I haven't rung the EA yet, but mainly because we need to have an actual conversation about it and events have conspired against us. With regular payments and OPing in full at the beginning of next year's allowance, we'll have £18,500 to pay when our fix ends in June 2023, so that's the target amount to save.
MS things:
* Clicks done
* PA surveys done (inc longitudinal one)
* Moved my buffer fund at last to Atom for 0.75% easy access savings
* Milk cancelled for tomorrow as we have plenty in
Gratitudes:
* I wasn't in A&E longer - others had been there all day
* The A&E doc was really good
* I feel a bit better today
Have a good afternoon all!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Ooh, that sounds grim Vix. Keep an eye on yourself and keep up with the fluids. Did you look at the regular saver thread on the forum before moving your savings to Atom? - I know it gets updated every week and I have silently subscribed (there is a lot of "noise" posts to skim but a few jewels in there) and some un-time-limited options higher than 0.75% (probably a limited number of withdrawals allowed)Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
