Oo the house hunting is very exciting. I love browsing through right move. The trouble is I like all the ugly houses on good plots of land with a view. I get all excited about what you could do with it and then remember, I have already been there and got that t shirt. I would like a barn as our downsize. Preferably one that was converted in the 70s or 80s so I can rip out the kitchen and bathrooms without feeling guilty.

@BusyMee1 Lots of the barns converted back in the 70s or 80s suffer with poor insulation and condensation...Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Another problem with barns is they don't have much at all in the way of gardens.
RM hunting might be fun when there's no pressure, but when you're ever hopeful and there's nothing suitable (and the house you really want has probably gone), it's just frustrating!
Feedback from agent... I guessed correctly, kitchen is too small! (I pointed out that neighbours have knocked through, but apparently she didn't trust her partner to do that???). Never mind, there'll be more viewings... and we can't find anywhere anyway!

Morning all,
Another day, another property. This one is a hopeful possibility... but we'd still prefer the original one I think. Viewing is this afternoon. This morning I'm making the tortillas and doing fajita prep - we went to the in-laws for a BBQ in the end yesterday. Think I need to make some biccies or similar too. Half the other half of the TGTG loaf out of the freezer for lunch.
DH has taken his car for an MOT and I've been doing a few small bits of work so that I can crack on with the big project on Monday from the start (Americans like to send stuff on Friday nights....). It feels good to be in demand again.
MS things:
* PA survey
* NV survey
Gratitudes:
* It's a bit cooler today
* Lots of work
* We don't have a million jobs to do this weekend!
Have a good day all!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Is TGTG too good to go? I like that isea but I'm usually stocked up for the next Suffolk siege so it seems silly for us.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

House was lovely, location lovely bit garden was smaller than I’d expected from photos and parking would have been an issue/the garage space wasn’t right by the house (bottom of garden but actually road access was from an access lane at the other end of the terrace and other garage owners would have had right of access to the rear of their garages from our garden - with our current non-private back garden we really want a bit more privacy in next house). We’ll keep looking...Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I am sure you will find "the one" Vix. We viewed loads before we found ours.6

Good to know those things - privacy next time sounds like a deal-breaker.

I was impressed that there was only one ‘naughty’ thing in the bag - it would be too easy to just get them for the treats otherwise.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
