Afternoon all,
Another manic day here... when am I meant to get any paid work done? Buying and selling seems to be a full-time job, and that's before we get to the solicitor chasing! Have booked viewings of three more properties - one tomorrow, another Saturday and one a week on Saturday. I have another few to do, but was having EA overload! Have had the brochure through and cruelly edited it and returned it!I did apologise to the lady, but honestly, I'm not having typos on it! (And it mentioned mature trees where there are none and no mention of the fish pond.... weird). Have also arranged a viewing for tomorrow afternoon here. Not entirely happy about this as DH will be out and the idea of the open house was to avoid stressing the cats more than necessary. Am undecided, but might scoop them into their carriers and take them for a short ride while the prospective buyers look around - that's if I can get them in the carriers!
Just had the call from the agent - she was fine about the changes and is going to press go on the Right Move button!
We're going to eat out to help out at our local pub tonight - DH has never actually eaten there, so it will be a nice evening and we're taking the mini.
I have finally managed to do my invoicing, pay myself and do money shuffles. No win on the PBs this month. It was a bit of a spendy month, one way and another - partly due to house spends. Hoping to rein it in a bit this month.
MS things:
* 2 PA surveys (yesterday)
* Cashback earned on cat food ordered
* Went for meditation instead of vodka to calm me down? Does that count?!
Gratitudes:
* Interest in our house already (what if we can't find anywhere)
* Sharing the big work project with Mum - a problem shared is more than halved in this case
* B&W cat hasn't peed outside of the box in two whole days (and is currently being a purry cutey next to me - oh, and he'll feature on RM shortly!)
Have a good afternoon all (old-fashioned smileys courtesy of reminder on Karma's thread, or is it SL's?)Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Good luck with the house sale Vix. Remember that you can control the speed of the process. You don't have to agree to find anywhere super quickly - just manage the expectations of the buyer. Some pressures in the chain warrant a faster response and some don't.

Thanks Fortune, good advice there. We’re not going to move if we can’t find what we really want - it doesn’t have to be perfectly finished, but it has to have the potential to be perfect for us. We love our current house and have definitely settled here, so if we can’t find what we’re looking for we’ll stay awhile longer.

Afternoon all, currently sitting in my car about 30 seconds’ drive from the house with these two...And it’s taken so long to get the photos that the agent has called to say they’re done!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

So.... no idea how that went but glad to be back in front of my computer and the cats are certainly glad to be back.
DH is off today and has gone for lunch at a pub with a work friend (he did all the house prep before he went) and I've been cracking on with work. Not much else to report... ooh, I grabbed a Too Good to Go bag for this afternoon - a rapidly expanding chain of bakeries has opened a branch in our town - I've longingly looked at them on TGTG but until now they've all been too far to travel for some food. Looking forward to seeing what I've nabbed
Gratitudes:
* The cats boxed fairly easily (and seemed somewhat perplexed at sitting in the car with me for a few minutes!)
* The house is immaculate
* Lovely pub grub last night and a bargain £21 for two courses and drinks for two of us. It's a bit weird though when there are signs around branded by HM Government - it's a reminder of how weird the times we're living in truly are!
* Mum is doing a pretty good job of the work I've outsourced to her (I do the final part to check her work) - I may have to go this route more often with these massive, hard-going projects.
Finally, niece has been sent home from nursery with a cough, so awaiting test results there. Almost certainly not a cough, but Sis and family and of course my Mum are now all self-isolating until such time as they get the results.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
