Yes, it's really quite scary - why it is acceptable to spend £100,000s on something you look at for maybe half an hour (RM obsessing notwithstanding!) and you can't return it?! What sort of weird world do we live in? Not even a test drive! We have another viewing booked for tomorrow and I'll be taking a list of our furniture to work out where we'd put it (and need to measure the sofas). My biggest concern is that we put in an offer (having worked hard to accept the space compromise) and then don't get it and can't find anything else. And part of me thinks we probably won't find anything else - even though we want to move, I don't want to move enough to settle for something that's not right (and I don't think anyone should).
We also have a mortgage phone appointment tomorrow and FIL is coming to do some jet washing and bring turf to lay - I'm enjoying the relative peace this morning!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Have just instructed an estate agent!
Feeling grown up and nervous!
We haven't told him that we might (unlikely) change our mind tomorrow.... but wanted to get the photographers booked in asap. And at least when we go tomorrow we can put in a semi-serious offer if we decide we want to (MIP in place and property almost on the market).

It gets quicker - photos on Monday afternoon (eek, we've got plenty to do this weekend then!) and agent hopes to have it on the market by Tuesday lunchtime!

This is exciting, Vix! Would a garden room be one solution to the space issue? You can get them now that are usable 12 months a year so basically another bedroom/office/hideaway without extending (or needing planning). Good news that the Tesla isn't too much more to insure!Choose kind8

even the trip between the room and the house can soak up a lot of the crowd

It has a garden room - one of the property’s three garages has been converted and it’s lovely and quite spacious - I would use it for an office at least some of the time. And it (And the second garage) would solve some of the storage issues. It’s more about spaciousness internally - but I’m hoping it won’t be such a surprise how small it is when we go again tomorrow so it’ll be better.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
