Good point TH - I wonder if it's Internet problems with Charly.
Sadly we will be moving, probably quite some distance as we just can't afford the extra land we'd like around here.
Have just had text from sister saying I won't be babysitting but she and niece will be round about 2! Wish she'd told me sooner, I've been putting off getting stuck into work knowing that chaos was about to ensue!
Oh well, hopefully weather will stay nice and we can still go to the parkMortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

What a shame that would have been lovely .
Oh dear but these things are sent to try us .Have a lovely day all of you0 -
TH - re the free stuff, it's a fairly quick whizz through most of it. I've given up spending hours on SBs - do the daily poll and get the evening swagcode and unless there's a swagcode bonanza or a swago on, that's pretty much it (might do a search or survey occasionally). So 2 mins, but slow growth!
VB poll is another quick click for 10p; MS rewards - DH and I realised that if you click through the news stories you get the points so another quick job.
Longer surveys I delete plenty of (or, more realistically, leave them in my inbox looking at me until they're so old I click on the link and it's closed!). The motivation for NV is high at the moment as I'm not far off payout - that's how I tend to work, enthusiasm wanes a bit after payout as it'll be a while till the next (ironic!), but picks up again eventually. OP I'm making a concerted effort with at the moment to at least get to the halfway point!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Well it's chucking it down outside and black as anything (really weird yellow light), so a cosy night in with the competitions board and some YT yoga may be in order (I may have heating on...just for a boost). Looking forward to our 2nd night of lasagne and probably something with custard for dessert.
Forgot to mention that we got a £1 off voucher for the Co0p the other day as an apology for the lack of deliveries they've had of late... and 25p off milk voucher... makes the organic 4 pinter 75p
Had an enjoyable visit from sis and niece discussing the houses they'd been looking at (her partner went off to do some shopping - he's allergic to cats). She thinks they might have found the right one!

Yikes, you had hail? I had rain, and have it again, lots and lots, grrr.
Babysitting for your niece - when my niece was that age, I looked after her while her mum and dad went Christmas shopping on their own. They explained they wouldn't say goodbye to me as she'd kick up a storm, which she'd do in any case as soon as she realised they weren't in the house. In the end, it was perfect. I was wrapping Christmas presents, and she watched me entranced by the sellotape and the scissors. And when she looked out of the window and saw their car wasn't there, all I said was "back soon" - I'd already learned never to say "gone" to a little person that age
SB - I do a bit more than you, but mostly while I'm watching something on tv that doesn't need all of my attention. I let the app run on my phone, just the one, thats 8-10 points; I do the gameplay, thats ten (I sort of enjoy it) I do as much of the to-do list as I can, but I don't sweat it. And if I'm online when a code becomes available, then obviously I'll use it. Thats all.
Madvix, what's your abbreviation "VB" stand for? You seem to get stuff from them regularly.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hi MadVix sounds like the weather is rubbish there. We have had a surprisingly dry day with some sunshine - rain was forecast all day.
I normally don't do surveys but started doing Nectar Canvass to boost my Nectar points....it has been fairly easy. They email when there are surveys to do and I do them on the train or watching the Telly. Most are dull and mindless, so you can multitask.
Have a good weekend and hope the weather improves0 -
Hi All,
Weather is still pretty rubbish here and now I have a cold... so it's been a pretty quiet weekend. Day out with Dad on Friday was nice - weather not great, but at least it meant the hordes had departed by the time we got back from our walk. We had a cuppa with his sister on the way as it was her birthday yesterday, so called in (she's quite mad, but her partner is lovely and normal and is definitely keeping her on the straight and narrow - she hasn't a clue about money... once said she fancied retiring to Spain at a point when she hadn't worked for years and years!). It was good to see them both. Lunched in a pub midway through our walk... Dad paid, for which I was grateful as, while lovely and locally produced, it was quite expensive (DH and I would have kept on walking, I think).
Saturday - my car passed it's MOT! Hooray!
Sunday - we brewedThat took most of the day but popped out for a quick walk in the afternoon as it didn't rain yesterday.
Today - not a lot. We've been out for a short walk and will have another walk shortly on way to in-laws for dinner. Will be trying not to infect thembut I've been looking forward to the meal all weekend, so really don't want to cancel.
KC - VB stands for Viewsbank - they're pretty good in terms of ROI and payout in cash at £12.00. Sometimes surveys are few and far between (while they do email, checking daily is best as they don't always email), there's a daily poll for 10p every working day (check after 10am). It sounds like you had a lovely time with your niece that day - I wish mine would sit still long enough to be entranced by anything!! She's very full on
BusyMee - thanks for that. I did sign up for them once upon a time, but never really got into it. I'll have to investigate again. Problem is that I save all my N3ctar points for the Pizza Express offer they do in the summer - DH is usually fed up of the meals by the time we've been 3 times in a month :roftl: Maybe I'll have to try using them for something else!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
