    Morning All! :)

Its persisting down with rain here! Haven't been on much as DD2 has been off school for a week with with a grotty cold. She's gone in today but still has a bit of a cough.

Lidl is opening new store just down the road from me tomorrow :j Any good bargains to be had there this week? Shame the newspaper vouchers were only valid till Monday. Do they usually do anything special on opening day?

Evening Farmville. Sorry not been around the last few nights and not gonna be around tongiht. The meds I'm taking for my poorly neck are making me sleep, which I suppose is a good side effect;)

I hope your feeling better. I've caught up on a few pages tonight but have loadsa more to catch up on the next few days.

I finally rang virgin media up today and am getting the new tivo box, 10 mb more broadband speed and cheaper. This is my deal,

£29.90 M phone, M+ TV, 30 Mb broadband and Tivo.

which at £20 a month cheaper than I am paying now for less broadband and a crappy box seems good.

Goodnight everyone, hopfeully catch up a bit more tomorrow.
Does that mean still no landline for you? I would call you for a change if you had a landline as my calls with BT are free.....will your mobile calls to me still be included for you....hope so as it's always good to hear from you.....shame you're not well enough to visit next week, but really looking forward to seeing you in June

I have had a landline but it has been faulty and cos never used didn't bother getting it fixed, but have an engineer coming out next wed. I'll pm you my no then. My mobile calls are free wether I ring people on a mobile or landline so no prob with calling you.

As I eplained to Bully, I have 3 nights next week at a travelodge nr alton towers that are gonna go to waste as I am not going due to my neck still being bad. If any of the regulars (sorry but cannot give to someone I don't know even virtually) are interested in the room then pm me and I will let you know the exact dates and place. The rooms will be free, just want them used if poss rather than going to waste. The next set of rooms I paid for the extra insurance so no prob in future.
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

    Good afternoon all,

I have tried the local DIY/garden centres and no one has any! Anyway I came across this site that sells "Recycled Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBC)" at a much more cost effective price. They have been used before for the food industry, ie orange juice etc. I was just wondering if anyone on here had used them before? They do smaller ones but I am looking for 1000+ litres.

Hi Genmod55 I've had IBCs since the last drought back in 2005 and have been very happy with them. Remember that they are second hand and have been used to transfer some kind of liquid so take care to give them some kind of rinsing. Also have a look on ebay with a search for IBC, you will also need a smaller tap outlet. Mine goes to an old bath which I then top up from the IBC and dip a bucket in. To fill, just get a water butt drain/gutter diverter.
