Hey Hopeless :D (or was it Helpless? ;)) Good to see you too. Couldn't remember which thread I knew you from lol

Didn't buy a sausage in the last M&S sale :j

Just went nuts on eBay :o

I still can't believe those low profit margins. I'll give extra nice feedback from now on - even when someone sells me 2 books that I can't give away because they were 'promotional books'

    Serves me right :D

Have I mist spmething? Sausages? Tarts? M&S? Books???

Only the spellchecker and a breathaliser Rachie ;):D

Seriously, I read the thread and was disappointed that you'd made so little money for so many hours work.

Not being an eBay seller I can only say "good luck" for next time.

But it put me off selling on eBay :(

Good luck in the future :)

Right, since I saw your reply I've knocked over the keyboard and mouse and had to find them again (the perils of wireless technology! lol!) - I've also turned the lights on cos it was a bit tricky typing in the dark but didn't want to disturb the little princess sleeping nxt to me! oh yes - i am sooooo sober [grin!] so have moved her to another room but the keyboard still seems fuzzy.... whys that ey?? :naughty:

hee hee - don't be put off SofaSG, hav u ventured into selling yet??? its more addictive than buying.... (except baby clothes......)

I got me a new project now so think I might give up on the baby clothes.....

bah humbug! i don't mean to hijack your thread, but this buying off ebay lark has got me down this week. the loan for the extension means we're a little bit skint and i can't afford to buy maternity clothes new when i need them, so i buy off ebay but this week i bought some size 18 maternity jeans, already left feedback without trying them on only to find they're a 16 and are too tight! grrrr! the listing is for size 18, no way could i fit into a 16. a fiver wasted

i've listed them on ebay to see if there are any thinner people wanting to buy them lol!

if you do sell on ebay again i think bundles would probably sell better, especially if they have next in the title.

I have some nice maternity jeans that you can have if you like? Granted they are actually a 16 but they are really roomy as I wore them up til 42 weeks pregnant with my first!! I've got 2 pairs just sat in my cupboard and i was going to give them away to one of my friends but they are mostly quite stick thin so won't need them (grrr to stick thin friends! lol!) - hmmm, or maybe I just have one pair but they are the good pair thats why I kept em and only just stopped wearing them! lol! I will have a look if you like?

Rachie! More addictive than buying

    Nooo :D

And until my other half gets a laptop, I'll stick to buying. I read all the nightmare stories, (and usually from sellers!) and think, "he can do it" lol.

Apart from that I haven't even sorted out the digicam (bargain from Boots), or printer (misprice from Index  ). I hate the thought that anything might spoil my laptop, even though by my reckoning I'm due a new one :D

Seriously, I've sold 4 books on Green Met and I feel like W H Smiths should move aside :D

I'm not ready to sell stuff tbh Rachie. I'd be worried someone gave me a negative response! And I'd end up out of pocket because I always understimate what my stuff's worth I think lol. And after seeing your profit .... I'm not sure I'd be able to put the hours (or savvy) required into it.

Yet I've got an idea what sells ... just can't face the whole eBay 'thing' lol.

Luckily I've got a sister-in-law that loves carbooting and she'll sell stuff for me - at a price, so that's my attempt at selling for now. I'm such a scaredy cat :D

Good luck with all your selling tho' :)

hi, thanks a lot for the offer but i've got water retention and don't think even a roomy pair of size 16 would fit me, the water kind of bloats me all over, i normally wear a size 20 in jeans but have found that i'm an 18 in maternity jeans but towards the end of the day even the 18's feel tight so i'm not looking at 20's on ebay lol!

have a look on ebay, you might be able to sell your jeans on there ;-)
