Company Facing Endgame?
Things seem to be going from bad to worse to GAME – after recent reports that they would not be stocking Mass Effect 3 MCV have reported that the beleaguered company may now be facing administration.
According to reports appearing on an ever increasing number on gaming sites GAME’s future is looking bleak. Allegedly staff have been told that sales figures need to improve within two week’s or the company could face administration.
There have been reports of a “fire sale” in which used stock is being sold off at a heavily discounted price. However, the extend of these discounts seem to vary from store to store. Replying to the news of GAME's possible administration some Eurogamer readers have reported very little change in their local store's pricing while others have been picking up games at bargain prices.
GameStop have reputedly shown an interest in buying GAME’s stores, however this remains unconfirmed with game telling MCV that “we do not comment on rumour or speculation.”0 -

Was originally after a DS Lite but they didn't have any and couldn't be bothered to trawl the local stores so went for the DSi. Really pleased with it, it is in absolute mint condition. Also managed to pick up a few cheap games for the Wii too (SIMS Racing £7, HSM Sing £1 and a DS Brain Academy for £3). DD2 will be very happy on her 4th birthday next month.
To be fair, I think thats their normal price for asecond hand DSi, I got my little boy one about 8 months ago for the same price0 -

All,
I bought the last £40 wii in Bath.
It had a missing sensor bar (£2.47 off online auction site) so I talked them into a further reduction of £5 and looks like I've got a system for £37.47, I just hope it works.
Would like to test it asap in case it doesn't work. I think its sensible to test it in case they go sh to sky.
I hope they don't though, the guys in both shops I visited were great and really helpful.

Look at the prices of new consoles as well. I got a new Wii with Sports + Sports Resort for £49.98 earlier this week. It's the one that retails at £119.99 everywhere else.
I got it in Irvine but there may be others out there at that price.0 -
