Game and Gamestation preowned console sale starts tomorrow (prices in thread)

Heard from a friend today (whose son is a manager somewhere) that lots of prices will be marked down massively this weekend to try and boost end of year sales figures in a desperate bid to survive.

Sorry for being a numpty, but will the 20gb/60gb xbox 360 @ £69.99 Have a HDMI port. If not, what kind of leads will it come with ?

It will depend on the age of the console if it does not it will be a scart connection.
I would ask first but my local gamestation had the black xbox reduced which will be a hdmi connection.
I would just ask in store to be honest.

It will be HDMI, both GAME and Gamestation no longer sell non HDMI consoles as they send them back to microsoft when trading them in- This is why the trade in prices on these consoles are so low.

It will come with a component scart cable but will have the HDMI port.

:beer: Thanks OP! Hubby's been wanting an XBOX 250GB slim for ages but couldn't justify the price, so got him one as a belated birthday present. Wouldn't have spotted this without your post; grabbed the kids and the car and was back within the hour with a preowned 250GB slim for £129.

I think you find they do still sell the old type, I know someone who got one from game a few weeks back and paid £60 for it :rotfl:

Went to 4 GAME (or where I thought there was a game ) shops in total looking for 2 ds lites.

1st shop in Straford London had 1 dsl in white that was really filthy dirty so I didn't get that (had no cheap ms points)

2nd shop in Westfield Stratford had no Ds lites or ms points (really useless GAME shop always have load of games out that are not in stock)

3rd Went to Canary wharf the Game is not even there anymore

4th In Woolwich game station I got the last 2 ds lite's (in black & green) for £34.99 each

Interesting they are selling off the preowned consoles. I heard that a lot of their recent problems are due to fall outs with games manufactuers over Game/Gamestation promoting their pre-owned games that they are taking 100% profit from and not giving anything back to the makers on - to the extent that a lot of the big companies are now refusing to send them their new releases.

Thanks OP. Managed to get a White DSi for £49.99 at Game in Crayford. Was originally after a DS Lite but they didn't have any and couldn't be bothered to trawl the local stores so went for the DSi. Really pleased with it, it is in absolute mint condition. Also managed to pick up a few cheap games for the Wii too (SIMS Racing £7, HSM Sing £1 and a DS Brain Academy for £3). DD2 will be very happy on her 4th birthday next month.
