Beetlemama, they are the same prices as they normally are online. I am inclined to think that the sale will be in store only to get rid of stock prior to them closing their stores in the near future

i read somewhere they are in trouble money wise (liquidation soon?) and this is instore only to get people/money in and may include (preowned) games too

That would explain not many offers on software lately.

Might give my local storea ring when they open to see if they have any at these prices

any preowned console best to see working first instore before you hand over your cash. also be aware that if they go under as feared the one year warranty will be worthless should it break.

Thanks for the tip off! I hadn't heard that (although in hindsight, a staff member told me on Monday that she'd just been made redundant, so that must be why) - my boys have got GAME gift cards to use, so will have to get them spent pronto!
