I went to the Newport Extra just a couple of days back - there were literally hundreds of huge white boxes. Never seen anything like it. Far, far more than in any of the other tescos I've been to.
Have resisted the VERY strong temptation to go down there as we're trying to get rid of clutter NOT buy more as we're trying to move to Turkey.
Only went to Newport to look for the Gordon Ramsey cookery book - I must be the only person who can't find it at a reduced price.
Hope you find what you want.

Hi what lights bulbs are you talking about where these in the £1 boxes?

Yes they were in £1.00 boxes as for the rest of the diy stuff labelled 50p & £1.00. They hadn't put 10p signs on them, but I was telling everyone.

6 pack standard 60watt bayonet cap pearl. Power Force DIY.

Hi, thanks, I've just got back from there, they had loads but its flying as they put it out. The big Tesco in Cardiff on Western Avenue had loads last week but I can't get there until tomorrow. My mum caused a bit of a fuss at the checkout, when she was looking at the scarves, socks and underwear a CS told her they were 10p and to make sure they put them through at that. Bit of fuss then at the checkout. I didn't bother I only bought a few bits that were scanning at 10p. My mum has no shame.:o

Yes they are, but there is only 3 in pack. I am sure last time it was 5 in a pack. They have +R and -R. The also have CD-R with 5 in a pack for 10p.

Also you do have to be careful with the quality of blank DVDs as they will not always play in all DVD players. I haven't tried these ones. The original price of 33p a disk was pretty expensive.

As others have said the cd-r's are not 10p:)

I made the mistake of thinking everything in the white boxes was 10p so grabbed loads of dvd-r's and cd-rs along with cd and dvd cases but only the dvd-r's went trhough at 10p so the checkout woman had to dump them all by the side of her till:o

    CD-R's were definitely 10p per 5-pack in Redditch. I bought 10 packs.

There was about 1/2 an outer left an hour or two ago. Not may people were buying them then, but that's probably changed now the weekend has come and the schools have kicked-out etc.

No DIY left at Mansfield ( they cleared the shelves a few days ago to put gardening items in their place).. Oh except light bulbs ( pack of 4 candle bulbs)and cable ties.

Managed to bag a few bits:
Scented tealights ( very good as they are individually shrinkwrapped so they keep their scent longer )
dog poop bag holder and refill
    Cd/DVD marker pens
    pizza cutter
    Dog lead

Other stuff left ( that i didn't get ) included the miniscule photo frames, mirrors, cake cutter shapes, make-up brushes, mesh bags, cake slice, pastry wheel, and lots of cream handled spoons/knives/forks.
