I thought it was Tesco policy to have a limit of buying 12 of the same item !!!
They should of stuck to this.

Both the DVD -R and +R were 10p at Tesco, PItsea, Essex. There were lots left at 12pm. Also got lots of DIY stuff, child's friction cars, kitchen untensils, baby food pots and forks/spoons, catcher bibs, exfoliators, hair bobbles, ash trays, artifical flowers, graters, games, beads etc.

I completly agree with you. I was getting so angry in my local today as a woman was going around with her trolley picking up the boxes and literally tipping the contents in leaving none for the rest of us....
She had so much stuff in her trolley it was unbelievable... loads of the kids stationary sets that i actually wanted for party bags for daughters bday in 2 weeks time.
I had to laugh at it though when she was putting handfuls of stanly knifes in her trolley and an sa actually said to her dont u think u are being a bit greedy, y not leave some for someone else? she still dipped her hand in again

managed to get a couple of bits but no dvdr's or cdr's left

Just couldn't help but respond to this as the person you are referring to was me!!

now, the facts, in line with Tesco policy, I only took ten of those stationary sets - also for party bags - and yes, I need to lift the box from the top shelf because I am rather short and could not see in it!

I also took ten of the stanley knives, which I am distributing amongst friends/ family who were working at the time.

I have just checked my receipt and I actually purchased 16 different lines of the 10p items and spent a total of £8 - I'll scan it and post it on here for you if you don't believe me.

I guess what I am trying to say is - before you go accusing people of something because of sour grapes - get your facts straight first.

I am not going to apologise for taking what myself and my family will use, especially when I was trying to help people out in the first place. I only took all the stanley knives because the staff from the opticians were about to empty the box and put them under the counter!

I really wouldn't have minded, but when I arrived there were people literally carting out the big deep trolleys full of things whilst I had a small shallow one and still find myself being spoken about in an abusive tone on here.

I hope your daughter enjoys her birthday but please remember she's not the only one to have one!!!

Have not been to Ravenside yet , did notice when I was there last Wednesday they had a much bigger selection than was at Hollington store , so maybe you will be in luck .

I went at gone midnight the night B4 & scanned stuff still at £1 there was LOADS left. Couldn't get there til 6pm yesterday & virtually all gone, luckily the baby feeding pots were still there (the main thing I wanted!) so got 20!
Also lots of wash mitt sets (poofy thing & exfoliator thingys!) that was it.

    THANX LOADS OP!!!
  • naff all in my local Tesco early (8am) yesterday. Well there were heaps and heaps of tacky cutlery and the odd cookie cutter set but I reckon anything worth having had already been snapped up by staff or very very early birds
