    I had mixed results with this today. The Express store around the corner from my house has a very limited range of £1 things - but they weren't marked at 10p so lots left. The only things that were any use to me were children's gloves which will go into shoeboxes at Christmas. They scanned at 10p each - no problems.

    The I went to the big Extra store and the only 10p things they had were wire brushes and some other things that I couldn't tell what they were for from the DIY range. I did find some other £1 things and bought some CD cases and what I thought was a childen's hat - but they scanned at £1 :( The hat turned out to be ladies anyway so I returned that, but have kept the CD cases as i was considering buying them the other day anyway. I did manage to pick up some reduced pens/notebooks though - all good for the shoeboxes :)

    That's quoting staff - not me!

    But we did manage to get wire brushes, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, drill bits, rawl plugs - so obviously they don't know what to do with them!

    Parasites:mad: :mad:

    Who told them about it!!!:confused::confused:

    Are you calling these people Parasites because their "Eastern European" or because their proffitering - hopefully the latter - in which case I totally agree - it's just the same as the scum who buy shedloads of stuff including prime concert tickets to re-sell on eBay.
  • Hi there

    Just to clarify - Tesco do not have a limit on clearance items - the whole idea is they want rid of them on a first come basis!

    I had this clarified by the Manager of my local Tesco yesterday. They have a bulk-buying policy for normal stock (no more than 10 items) but this does not apply to "clearance" goods.

    I hope that this helps.

    Good luck to everyone on their bargain hunting.:rotfl:

    Funny you should say that OH was on nights last night and I couldn't get to sleep so spent far too much time on here, then this morning he came to bed at 6.30am and I was then wide awake.

    So myself and DD2 who is up with the birds in the morning, went to 2 different tescos :T first store I bought some small spoons suitable for packed lunch, 2 cheese graters, 2 packs of cds and some other cutlery bundles. (That was all they had)

    Second store they had sold out.

    I was back home by 7am

    No car again today, not ready from garage, so won't be getting anymore bargains today. Might pop out tomorrow if cars back, last chance for r&r tomorrow.

  • Winchester store had a few items this morning - picked up 20 bags of hairbands (100 in a pack) for 10p each so that's my year supply sorted, also lots of purse size hairbrushes, and bath sets. Also picked up a couple of tavel adapters for 10p - very handy for summer hols.
    Next went to Burseldon - they had a bigger range and were still putting stock out when i left - picked up 3 pack of egg cups, mugs, cake slice, exercise books, clothes hangers, yo-yo's, other travel size games, twin packs of ashtrays (clear glass type), 3 packs of expandable sponges, mirrors, + more.
    This was at 9am this morning.
