just an idea but try. Taking out the sim and blowing where you removed the sim (where it sits) then make sure there's no dust or anything on the sim.

Have tried that but still no go. Thanks for your help anyway.

Just tried that last code which came up ' cannot undo restriction' have you any other ideas? I didnt include the gaps should I have done?!

The cannot undo restriction means that the phone is hard locked due to the wrong code being put in to many times, the free online calcs dont usually work with the 6111's as they generare wrong codes, the one I gave was the correct one but the only way you can unlock it is to take it to a carboot or unlocking shop for professional unlock with hardware. kThis will cost around £5
