Does the recent news on the bbc...

and I quote "But landowners are boosted by stronger laws on ticketing, which mean unpaid charges can be claimed from the keeper of the vehicle, as well as the driver."

affect our position with this, and is it retrospective?

It has no affect at all other than there will be opportunities to cost PPCs lots more money now !

    Hi guys

Im so glad that I have come across this forum, I was getting extremely angry at parking eye after shopping in aldi store in burton on Trent I received a parking ticket from parking eye saying that I had parked longer than the time available even though I had shopped in the store, so like many of you I delayed payment but I contacted them in anger to appeal this as I was in the right, I even sent them a statement to show I had shopped in the store yet seems it has been ignored an they have sent me more letters sayin appeal was USUCCESSFUL plz send receipt or bank statement. So I decided to look on the Internet to contact them via email or phone to voice my angry opinion only to find there isn't any contact information only pay information no surprise there scamming !!!!!!. I have received my first FINAL NOTICE letter though so I will now IGNORE them an see what happens.

    Thanks guys

Don't tell them this, they live in their own little world and if this makes them feel better then so be it. It does not change the ignore advice but why upset them.

Its the bloody BBC!! Its an institution, its respected worldwide, I mean, where would the world be without the bally-old BBC? There's standards to be maintained you know!!!

I didn't get where I am today without knowing that under the POFA they can pursue the RK or the driver but not both!! I jolly well expect them to knwo this too.

  • well I have also just received a notice of fine. Yes I was there, yes I shopped and yes I keyed my number into the machine after paying at the till. Sods law it was a cash transaction from 2 weeks ago so I do not have the receipt. Maybe I accidentally tapped in the wrong reg number ( how many of us exactly remember our car reg details?). I thought of asking them to check their files to see if a number close to mine was entered at the time they allege - but it might be wiser to complain to the manager and then ignore it. But absolutely they need to know they have lost a customer. I will face book it too.

You've got the idea - complain to the retailer and ignore the scamming PPC. One point of order though - it's NOT a fine !!!!!!!!

  • Hey People,

I recieved a PCN from parking eye, however i was parked in the Aldi car park for 3:28 min (I also went shopping next door!) Opps!

You are allowed to stay for 1:30 free.

Is there a chance if this went all the way to a court they could win, as i was there for an excessive amount of time?
