I didn't take up any of the offers, mainly because I didn't fancy any of the women. I won't deny that the attention is always nice, it just got a bit annoying that people would assume that my high standards had suddenly dropped, and that just because I was single, I'd be a perefct match for their friend or friend's daughter just because they were also single and a similar age!

It almost feels offensive doesn't it!

I became single at the age of 35, I'm no stunner and boobs were much smaller then than now (I've put on weight, not had any surgical enhancement) and I had two kids aged 7 and 5. I was surprised how many male colleagues did seem to get a bit friendlier...inlcuding the married ones. I don't think they thought I was ready for a new relationship but would be gagging for a sh*g!! But that never bothered me as much as female friends who turned funny as if they thought I'd be after their men. I went on holiday with my kids to Menorca the year after and spent miserable evenings with chairs literally turned away from me and women pointedly stepping in between me and their husbands if we exchanged pleasantries discussing what our kids were doing. Just because I was single didn't mean I wanted to jump the bones of any male with a pulse!!

    A) Be appreciative that you get the attention.
    B) Maybe its ugly attracting ugly?
    C) Guys are impatient. You should know this.
    D) Maybe youre a catch?
    E) Maybe you have mistaken most of their interest or attention.
    F) Men dont get that reaction because women are snobbish moos.

    Z) ITS YOUR FAULTS ANYWAYS!!!

You take us to RomComs amd what do we see? We see the girl with a useless guy, yet she doesnt see this. We see the good guy take the chance and get burned. Then we see the girl realise her mistake and then she goes after the guy she burned. We sl osee rebound sex and girls who just want to have fun.

So blame yourselves for our behaviour.

"Oh im so hot guys are throwing themselves at me im so popular ooh i get texts at 3 in the morning and im hott my chest is bigg and i have a cute behind and i have to like, post about this like on a forum like to let everyone know like how hot i is like og my gawd!!"
lol this made me smile, chase me chase me Im the last bus home!

Not wanting to be crude but from what I've seen with many blokes they often befriend women with the hope that at some point it'll go further relationship/leg over. What you are encountering now is a mix of chancers looking to be a rebound sh*g and guys that have carried a candle for you.

On the flip side I separated at 35 and received no female attention at all, but having no female friends probably help on that one.

To put this thread back on track, I remember when I split up with my husband I was completely bemused when the man from the corner shop knocked at my door and offered his 'services'. I had done absolutely nothing to encourage him - wasn't (and still not) a stunner and was flabbergasted at his visit.
He made it very clear that he was offering to keep me happy (with sex) even though his wife was a lovely lady. I showed him the door very quickly.
