Could it be because you're making yourself available?
    I'm not that way reclined

Jewelry? Seriously? Sheldon you are the most shallow, self-centered person I have ever met. Do you really think that another transparently-manipu... OH, IT'S A TIARA! A tiara; I have a tiara! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me!

Men are men though lol and we all know how daft they can be!

well a) not all men think with their c*cks and
    b) I don't think they are daft, I think calculating or single minded maybe.

I'm glad you enjoy the attention; I would find it a bit creepy so soon after a break up. Be careful.

...Do men ever get the same reaction to becoming single?!!

When teenagers, yes and then not so much in your 20s but much more later on (30s & 40s), I guess because most decent guys are attached and single women are sick of the dross that is permanently available.

By this time of life women may actually know what they want.

No, it wouldn't be bad if you just think of as a social experiment  It may be of great benefit to the op. Thinking about it, you're practically obliged now:)

Let us know how you get on.

Is it just me who thinks it is just as well OP doesn't want to get back with her ex, and just as well the ex and his new partner aren't members of MSE and read her threads in case she is libelling them... ;)

    Interesting replies.

Only one person seems to have any idea how men think.
