Male friends 'flocking' when they see you're newly single..

I can confirm that similar stuff does happen to newly singled men as well. When I broke up with my long term girlfriend a couple of years ago, I found a fair few of my female friends and work colleagues thought that because I was now single, I would automatically fancy them or their single friends.
Ah,I have a question for you!!! Did you go for any of it?Just curious given the opinions some have of men but also because some women (I know) will happily go with any bit of attention they get and some don't understand why I'm just not interested!!If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -
Well there you go LOL, you're good looking, with big boobs and young. Then you put on facebook you are single and presumably you have alot of friends on there.
I'd be more surprised if you didn't get asked out.
BTW I've asked out women I've known before like this. Most of the time it's because I wondered if they wanted company and to keep them from staying in, I've never actually got anything on with any of them.
Would I ask you out if you were a friend? Probably, although I'd expect it to be more of a listening to your problems time, or maybe getting you home safely when you had a bit too much to drink.
I wouldn't expect to get my leg over, nor want it tbh.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

There are clearly some lovely guys out there
As for the first bit,I feel old since turnig 30 LOL,I never see myself as good looking, tbh I often just see myself as a pair of boobs when it comes to looks:o and assume guys think the same (many assist that with their talking to them or standing staring at them!!!)If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -
I think that's very rude - I would look you in the eye for at least 2 minutes first! :rotfl::rotfl:0

Oh I will
Nothing wrong with enjoying (or laughing at) a bit of attention..reminds me I'm still seen as a woman rather than just being seen as the mum and carer (which is how I've felt for a while since I had to stop working for ds -hopefully he'll be in school full time at some point so I can fully get back to being me!!).
Lots of options, yep!! Not going for anything though,it's way too soon, and I've never been that fussed!Time to be me and enjoy life as it is I think
I'm feeling very good today, upsetting to realise love drained you but it's made me feel bloody fantastic:D I've even started a huge clearout of the house, planned a new wardrobe for when I can go shopping lol and can't wait to find the perfect house to move to and have everything fresh and happy (well as much as it can be with ds:rotfl:)
This is good. It sounds like you've found the plus side of being single, and enjoying the freedom to tweak that strangely large pile of all those tiny bits of compromise that we don't really notice that much when we're paired up.0 -
Photos can lie, but in yours you seem to be a very pretty girl and I can't even see your boobs. There are clearly some lovely guys out there

Guys do have a problem with boobs and I'm afraid it's not going to change. It's all very well girls complaining that guys look at their boobs, but while there are so many out there in the media and guys eyes are taught to look at them, it isn't going to change any time.
Probably giving away a bloke secret here, but if he's wearing sunglasses, he's checking out your boobs.
When I'm talking to a girl and I relax and not think about what I'm doing, sometimes I admit my eyes go off on their own and travel south. I don't even realise I'm doing it.
Guys like boobs...... I don't know what else to say :rotfl:Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

At least you're honest :rotfl:
I think your right about some not realising their doing it too.Usually when I make comments like 'yeah, they don't talk' they either look incredibly confused or embarrassed!:rotfl:If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -

Nice to have a bit of freedom and not having someone else to consider! If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -

I didn't take up any of the offers, mainly because I didn't fancy any of the women. I won't deny that the attention is always nice, it just got a bit annoying that people would assume that my high standards had suddenly dropped, and that just because I was single, I'd be a perefct match for their friend or friend's daughter just because they were also single and a similar age!0
