Accord Mortgages

Hi, does anyone know if there is a hold up with Accord at the moment?

We had our survey done a week on Monday and still haven't got an offer through.

I called my broker this morning who said that they had stopped new applications last week due to rate changes, and that had resulted in a backlog, but he also asked for more statements and payslips relating to one of our BTLs and my wife returning to work after maternity.

  • Accord and several others are buried at the moment - no option but to wait and let them sort themselves out.

    OK, thanks.

I have emailed my broker and asked him if he can chase up the valuation but I'll sit back for now and wait it out.

Only annoying thing is the developer won't carry on with the build until we exchange which should have been yesterday on the contract so were stuck in limbo at the minute. I can see there point though as it's at kitchen/bathroom ordering stage so they don't want to fit something that would exclude other buyers if it falls through.

Rather optimistic given the short time frame.

MF2015, did you make any progress with Accord?

My fiancee and I are in a similar situation and we've been waiting for over three weeks.

Hi, we are no further forward other than he said there was 2 prices on the valuation, £15k apart and was waiting for an update.

After speaking to my broker yesterday he informed us we would have a reply yesterday or today at the latest.

Well true to my brokers word we had an update today.

That was to request more documents.....

Both myself and the wife have just about had enough as this was supposed to be an "easy" purchase as we had enough stress with our last failed attempt at a house purchase due to Santander cocking up.

Seriously thinking of throwing in the towel if we don't have a reply by early next week.

Nothing is "easy" with Accord I am afraid.

    I have to counter that.

I have had a sequence of three products with them and have found them to be generally efficient. Their customer service has always been spot on, unlike many of the mainstream lenders I have been with before.

Fair play, everyone will have had different experiences of them

    Well still no further forward.

Applied 10th of Feb, and still don't have the results of the valuation back.

Is anyone else having the same problem with Accord?
