I got my job too!

Only been looking a week!
Good work Drea, nice to see it work out for you.
I've had a phone call from an Agency this afternoon and they've arranged an interview for a permanent job next Thursday. It seems so long since I had an interview i'll probably find that the nerves will come back when I go.0 -
I've also got an interview this week, the job is perfect, exactly what I want and what I have been looking for. Lack of experience is going to let me down, as well as nerves. I only spoke to the guy on the phone this morning and I could feel myself shaking!
Hate interviews!0 -
Hi, I'm pretty new to this forum (been browsing but not so much posting), but thought I'd post today as I'm feeling pretty dejected about my job hunt.
I applied for a job with the HMRC and was told in February that I was successful at interview and everybody was being held on a list until checks had been carried out. Turns out that all jobs have been filled and I haven't been offered a position.
I have been unemployed for almost nine months now. I worked previously as an Academic Mentor in a local college, which involved going into local high schools, to help those students struggling with their Maths and English. Unfortunately, it was a local council funded project and there were no funds for the following academic year.:(
I have A/A*s at GCSE, As at A Level and 2:1 honours degree from a very good university.
I'm coming up this year to my 30th birthday this year and am feeling...quite distraught actually, that I have no career to speak of. In an ideal world I would be thinking about starting a family, but financially there is no way this is even a possibility because of my lack of job.
I am applying daily for jobs, but there is a serious lack of graduate jobs in my area and am applying for jobs that you might say I am over-qualified for, but I am not hearing anything back. My SIL is in HR and has over-hauled my CV, to no avail.
There's no real point to my post. I just wanted to vent because this situation is so depressing and I know that a lot of people will be in this position. I wake up at stupid o'clock worrying about it and although I am a confident, out-going person, this is really bringing me down.:sad:0 -
arrrggg I'm trying to fill in an application form for a job in a cash office (retail) but the application form is a generic one and half the questions on it are completely irrelevant to the role I'm applying for. Its so frustrating (and hard) to complete
