You should be proud, it's a lot to do in one day! Half the problem is that we've stopped giving ourselves a pat on the back. We can't afford to lose hope! :D

If I don't find a job within the next month, we're going to have to move house quite a bit away from central Cardiff making it even harder to find one

Finger crossed & positive thought to you Drea heres hoping you do find a job ASAP.
The one constant I have had so far in my life is my home, having to move in the middle of job hunting cant be easy.

I can't do application forms, never been able to do them - got some issues with neatness and missing out words or whole sentences as I hate handwriting. Fortunately never had a major problem with it as I just type it up, sign it and write a small explanation of why I have typed it (I'm neat in small amounts!)

I've had a pretty low day today, lately it just feels like there is just nothing out there to apply for...I feel like I've totally lost my confidence and self-belief.

Two years ago I took redundancy from a job where I was earning £24k, now I can't even get a minimum wage job :( I'm in my mid 30's and am wondering if I'll ever get a job that pays over 20k again.

Sorry to moan...I know it's not helpful or productive, I just can't moan to my partner today and wanted to get it off my chest.

We all need a moan! I know what you mean, I feel like I'm at the age now where I should be going up the salary grades (25) and instead I find myself applying for waitressing jobs which I'm fairly sure I won't get as I have no experience!

It's horrible finding a job just now and I keep being told that "things are picking up" - maybe in the statistics but I'm certainly not seeing it!

Thanks Drea, it's horrible that so many people can't find work. I've had a call this morning inviting me to an interview on Friday...it's only a driving job and won't pay much more than minimum wage but I'm so happy...hope so much that I get it!!

Will keep hunting today in case there's anything else.

Good Luck to everyone else job hunting today.
