    Thought I would just bump this thread and update on my job search. I had an interview for an HR Assistant post, last Thursday and accepted the position on Friday!:j I am waiting for my offer letter and start date now, but am so happy to have found work. :D

    Good luck everyone still searching for work. I hope something turns up soon!

    Okay... I'm back! ....again.

    6 month job turned into just over 1 month. Fed up of the lack of perm jobs around and fed up of looking for them!

    Yes it does really f**k you of sometimes, but at least you made a few quid for a month.

    Just tried to phone that Job seeker number to get the details of how to apply for a job. They were asking me all sorts, NI number, date of birth, address, previous address.... so I asked why they wanted to know this information. And she got proper stroppy at me for "talking over her".

    So... why DO they need that information? I wasn't very comfortable giving them so much info just to apply for a job!

    its to check up on you to see if you did apply for the job and if you don't they can sanction you :(
