  • Counted up my change bank and have £8 to deposit into the bank.

Still not feeling very well, bored aswell.

I was going to put the items on eb*y today but I think I'll wait til the end of the month when people are paid.
  • Has anybody used musicmagpie for selling their clothes yet ?

I'm having a clear out and it seems the better option than cash for clothes or ebay.
  • Anybody else wishing time away between each wage ?

I get paid next week :) Feels like January has gone by quite quickly though.

I have paid £5 into my savings account, balance now £555.

Gave my mum the £10 voucher for Am*zon to use for the kindle she got for Christmas.

Not much else to report, still looking into musicmagpie for selling some clothes.
  • I have decided that the living room MUST get finished.

It has been sitting half done for months now, I haven't had the energy to finish it. So, that leaves me with the choice of doing the rest myself and doing a pretty rubbish job to be honest (I am not good at decorating !), or paying somebody else to do it for me.

I'm leaning towards the non-mse decision of paying somebody else to do it.
  • Used my afternoon wisely and listed some things on Eb*y.

A few watchers on some of the items already so that is a positive start.

Decided to list the clothes on eb*y rather than sell them to musicmagpie.

Hi Claire, sorry not been very good at keeping up with your diary :o

I looked at the clothes thing on Music Magpie, wasn't too sure about it though, don't think I have designer label stuff!

I've just been filling bin bags with mine at the moment and am going to take them to one of those places that pays by the kilo - not as much as I would get if I ebayed I guess but it appeals to my lazy nature!

Well done for doing some ebay listing yesterday :T

  • Hey Becci, don't be daft :)

Ye the Music Magpie doesn't seen that great for the average person's clothes.

I think there is a checker somewhere online (maybe even on MSE) that tells you how much each of the cash for clothes shops give you per kilo.

Thank you ! I think listing things on Eb*y is one of the most dull things in the world ! Quite a few watchers on the items now and a couple of them have been bid on, positive start.

Another little £5 into my savings today.
  • Does anyone have a Santander 123 account ? I'm thinking about opening an account, any views ?

I have a Santander account that I opened when they were offering 0% overdrafts and £100 for switching a couple of years ago, so I used it to shift some debts to.

Initially I wasn't impressed with how much I had to chase them to get my £100 but I forgave them when I got my £100 and a case of wine as an apology :)

However, I have heard that their cutomer service isn't great in general and I'll be closing the account as soon as I get myself in gear to switch the DDs that are still going from that account.

    Hope that helps!

  • Thanks Becci that does help.

I'm with Halifax at the moment and I dislike them with a passion, I don't think I have ever had worse customer service than with them.

Also the advice of don't bank where you have debt, so I need to move my account somewhere.
