  • Wow. just wow, Why have you called her a BS cross and not a GS cross? a BS cross could mean anything and she def has GS in her anyone can see that, the BS part is debatable. What does your vet say? why has she been down as GS on your insurance for so many years when you now say she is not??

My insurance and my vet have no issues with this - why have you?

I have a very much non-pedigree long haired gsd. Clearly a good mix of gsd with lots of other lovely things thrown in. When I had a chat with pet insurance about it (Tesco at the time) they said even though not pedigree she still got the pedigree gsd rates. Their view was that if she looks like a long haired gsd then that is what she is regardless of formal pedigree- more a matter of common sense. They were not willing to make the distinction between the short haired and long haired even though long haireds are not shown or bred in the same way. I was told that changing the breed on the form to crossbred gsd might get the premium down but in the event of a serious problem they might say no cover.

Well, I really see no sense in prolonging THIS discussion here - I have discussed the issue in length with my insurer and with my vets and those are the only people that could and did make the decision - and they made one that suits me fine.

I really am not going to explain myself to people who randomly visit this thread for the sole purpose of having a go at me - no idea why the feel they can/should in the first place anyway.

So I am going to leave THIS topic and concentrate on the rest of the thread.

Have a lovey night everyone :)

Right, so just cleaned both trays and split one bag of freshly delivered Biocat equally between the 2 trays.

    biocats_microfresh_2x14l_2.jpg

Still on offer at £13.48 (thanks for the hands up Rising from the Ashes) so absolute steal comparing to £19.99 for 2 bags of Golden Grey.

Volume wise looks about the same level as when I was emtying Golden Grey the same way between 2 trays.

ALL of my 4 boys already tested it. Straight away. So cat's approved.

Now got to see if it is going to last the same +/1 2 weeks as GG did.

If it does - wohooooooooooooooo would be 0.84 PENCE per cat per week.

    Will see :)

Also had an email from Zooplus that they had Burns lamb and rice back in stock so ordered for Zara - they did not have it for like 3 weeks and I started to panic.

I like to have like 2 months worth of cat/dog food (both wet and dry) at home "just in case".

And so temped to order more of the Biocat..... as have ONLY 12 bags at home ;) Would love to have a year;s worth stash...

Current contract due to finish in January so who knows, better to have a stash of everything....

Oh, I really need a new scoop, one that is very fine, for clumping litter, looking at those 2

    or this one

  • I've got a couple of the first one GR

Find them great tbh - holes are pretty small so even very little bits get caught but unused litter still falls through easily

I am using this one from Zooplus - fantastic!
I use golden grey litter and it's brilliant with it and best of all - it's metal so no bending or snapping. Worth every penny.
