The pouches are £3.50+ a box  I always look around for where has the 2 for £5 offer on (S always has either Whiskas, Felix or Kitekat on offer, A often has offers too) which cuts the cost a bit.

If convenient try Aldi own pouches- the basic ones. £1.75 for a box of 12 and mine prefer it to the branded ones- they will eat Whiskas in an emergency but seem to go off it- Aldi all the way.

I buy the boxes of 44 in each and they vary between £10 and £12.00

If you buy 12 in a box then of course price is different :)

At the moment my boys wont touch anything other than felix as good as it looks rubbish... sigh.. they go through phases on and off with various brands

Will be putting my boys back on Classic now - they liked it before so perhaps they will like it again (evil grin).

Just checked prices - Asda £5.00 for 12 tins, Tesco £5.39 for 12 tins

Both above got "variety option so will be 6 meat and 6 fish in each)

Petsathome £11.49 got 24 tins (all meat, no fish) so lets say £5.75 per 12.

    So again Asda prices rulezzzz

    Kitty cat

Wet food around £32 a month, a mix of high life, chicken wings and offal.
Dry food £12 a month, taste of the wild
    Insurance £11 a month
    Litter £12 a month

    Smelly dog
Wet food £45 a month, chicken wings, offal, veg etc.
Dry food £18 a month, taste of the wild
Insurance £30 self insure as he is pretty much uninsurable

We have a pet sitter in twice a week for when my wife is working away, he charges £10 an hour, so £80 a month.

So really our two smellies are quite cheap!

You do realise the above comes to £160.00 per month?

£12.00 per month for litter for ONE cat? What expensive litter does the cat use? Wondering...

Cost me £20 per month for FOUR cats...

You could save like £7.00 per month just on litter, have a look at Golden Grey range on https://www.zooplus.co.uk - my boys use the white version, 2 bags that cost £19.00 last them whole month so about £5.00 per cat per month ;)

I've spent a good two years finding a litter for my cat that doesn't need cleaning on an almost daily basis, we can manage about four days with catsan. We have used the golden grey odour before but we didn't find it to be very good.

GR if all your cats are house cats do they really need insurance? I think I might be inclined to just PAYG with them.
Regarding Zara I'd do the same if your not going to put her through another operation as well. £172 as well as the £90 for the cats is a lot. I'd just put this away and if any of them became ill draw out of that. If you havent touched it then after a year or so I'd just keep that and not put in.
I'd also knock the dog walker on the head and get up an hour earlier and take her out myself and for a bit when I got home from work.
Have you got a partner or family member like a son or daughter who could help out with walking her?
