I dont spend too much on my Staffie,
I feed her Skinners duck and rice, 15 kg bag costs around £18 and lasts 6 weeks. Advocate from vets cost just under £9 a month and insurance is £11 a month.0 -
Loving the sound of Mrs. Slocombe! My neighbour's cat Izzy is a rescued indoors cat and started off as very timid, never leaving the house. Then they had a conservatory built and very gradually she started going out into the garden. She still stays in the garden now, but she's now very territorial and soon tells 'intruders' to get lost!0

Thanks for sharing0 -
love my dogs, just paid £200 to find out my dog was fine then 2 months later had to have him put down, 2 weeks ago paid £850 for my other dog to have a cancerous tumour removed, paid £79 for a 4 day holiday in the Canaries, and £120 to have the dogs in kennels, but our dogs are our family. I do save money though by buying a months worth of dog food and having it delivered, rather than going to local shop and paying extra for a tin of dog food and buying other stuff just because I'm in the shop!!0

Interesting thread - have always wondered how much our two cats cost us but have been too scared to try and break it down! Think I'll give it a go now...
Max's wet food (HiLife) - £20 per month
Molly's wet food (Felix) - £9 per month
Molly's dry food (Orijen) - £5 per month
Treats - £6 per month
Insurance for both - £11 per month
Litter - £22 per month
Toys - £5 per month
So that makes £78 per month... which isn't as bad as I thought it would be actually!0 -
Well, opened the 40litre of Oko Plus yesterday so timing starts now - how long will 40litre of Oko Plus last with 4 cats that despite going outside only ever pee/poo into their litter trays?
date of opening: 20/03/12 LOL
Posted in red so I can find this post easy later on.. when the bag finishes LOL0 -

You know you ordered it just at the wrong time, don't you? I ordered a 40L bag yesterday from Z+ and got 5L free (or perhaps you didn't want to hear that??? :rotfl:).
Of course, all cats are different, but I'd expect that to last at least 6 - 8 weeks - don't forget you don't need to completely empty the tray as often as you would have done with your previous litters.0 -
mmmm wondering if I should order some too!
Wish I'd thought of it earlier as off for the next couple of days (have problems getting stuff due to not being in to sign for it....)
ETA can one of you lovely ladies tell me what the texture is like?
Both mine have only ever had wood pellets ... taGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
