No MUA BB in my local Superdrug today :(. I shall look out for a store with a larger MUA stand.

can anyone recommend a good asian bb cream for a mediterranean light olive skin? (most foundations make me look sooo orange!) I actually found the garnier light bb cream a pretty good colour and liked it, but would prefer a really high spf. Thanks!

    Word of warning:

If you decide to buy an asian BB cream from ebay, ask the seller whether the item is genuine before you buy it.

I made the mistake of buying an imitation of the skin79 BB cream. Only found out after I bought it.

Bellogirl sells original ones and the prices are very very competitive.

  • I got my sample sizes from rubyruby & they are also the genuine article.

However, I took a chance on this one & made a mistake. It hasn't actually arrived yet, so I will compare to the skin79 one I have. I'm hoping it's just as good or even better. If not, seller will be getting told.

Wow thanks for all the replies and info. Well I've gone from deciding that I wasn't even going to try a western cream to then deciding that the eastern ones would be too pale. I haven't been able to get the clinique bb cream anywhere (angelil did you get samples due to your beauty blog?) I received my garnier samples in light (they do a medium but no sample) but no eastern samples from treat your skin. :(

So I have only tried the garnier but I liked it, the coverage was good, my skin had a dewy glow and it lasted a long time. It was slightly light and I'm not sure that it will treat my skin like an eastern cream and the SPF is only 15.

So I have another question :o has anyone tried the garnier light and found an eastern bb cream either matching this shade or even slightly darker?

GFN123 have you tried any more of your samples yet?

    Thanks

^^ Yep, I got the Clinique one due to the blog. Don't know if it's out yet without checking the press release. Review going up soon!

    Hi Jetplane.

I did try Skin79 hot pink one. I thought it was 'ok' but nothing amazing. As usual too light for me! The instructions on the sample are in English and it does state it lightens skin as well, if you're trying to avoid this. If you like I have a sample of the other Skin79 (gold one) and BRTC Jasmine Water I can send you? These both state whitening as well, but certainly won't do so in one or two uses and you'd have a chance to try the Asian ones :) The hot pink one is opened and I used a bit, but there's another application in it if I tape it up, I could send that also if you don't mind that I used it, I only squeezed a bit onto my clean palm! PM me your postal address if you'd like any/all.

Reading the other posts I'm going to try the BRTC Gold Caviar next, as it sounds like it may really suit me - fingers crossed! I want to try Missha too, I found rubyruby on ebay and at the price it's probably worth ordering anyway.
Proud to be a moneysaver :)

Ok I read this thread, got all excited and ordered Holika Holika Moisture Petit from BELLOGIRL on ebay. But i'm having a bit of a panic over the word 'whitening', does this mean it makes your skin appear lighter due to the pigments in it or am i into scary skin bleaching territory? I don't want to end up doing myself permanent damage...

That's what I'm wondering about now.I don't need to be any paler than I already am,looking like a corpse wouldn't be much fun:rotfl:

Ive noticed a lot of Indian sellers on ebay favour skin whitening products, ie skin bleaching creams (that could be illegal). Be careful!
