Sounds a bit like funeral directors to me
Sorry I know I'm giving you a bit of a hard time over this but no one is forcing them to see a psychic and they are not charitable institutions. They have bills and mortgages to pay like the rest of us.
Genuine ones would no doubt love to be able to offer free reading but most simply wouldn't be able to afford to unless they have another job.
Conmen never force anyone to do anything - they exploit their weakness instead.0 -

You can apply that statement to almost anything. Including funeral directors and the church.
Try and avoid them after a death. Getting the christian religion to keep out of a funeral is remarkably hard. Even the crematoriums have christian symbolism all over the place.
And as I said further up thread I have no time for the conmen.0 -
Teabag, sounds like a good book, what was it called? I've been to loads had a couple of good ones and a couple of bad.0

My OH's Uncle passed away 12 months ago and my Mother In Law has struggled with the death of her only brother. Someone in the extended family went to a local lady for a reading and came back raving about this woman and her accuracy so MIL and my Sis in Law both went to see her hoping for some comfort.
Unfortunately for the medium both MIL and SIL can be quite stubborn and refused to 'feed' her any information at all. This resulted in an hour of nonsense of which barely a fifth could be linked in any way to the family.
That said, many years ago as a teenager I was asked to go to a spiritualist church by my cousin. She had lost her Nan 6 months before and was feeling a bit low so I didn't think it would hurt to tag along. We had never been before and knew nobody else there. The medium singled her out straight away and said she had an elderly lady with her but what she was seeing couldn't be right as she could see 16 children. Never did manage to figure that one out, cousins nan did indeed have 16 children which is a little unusual so for the medium to say that always struck me as strange. She was spot on over several points that night despite neither me nor my cousin saying much other than yes or no.
On the one hand I think there are so many charlatans out there who play on grief for money, yet on the opposite side of the coin was this lady in the spiritualist church who we had not paid to see and was spookily accurate. The jury is still out for me I think.0 -
Years ago my mother went with a group of people to a medium. She told us afterwards the medium had refused to tell her what her future held.
Now mother could have been lying to us. Or maybe the medium didn't want to tell her that mother would shortly leave her husband (my Dad) and neither of her children would ever have anything to do with her again......Make £2025 in 2025

My oh went to a psychic night in a pub. The others were all amazed at what the psychic said, my oh couldn't believe what information they gave away, the psychic cleverly told them what they'd given away and they thought they'd had this amazing reading.
"I'm getting a name beginning with "M" or "D" who's just passed away."MSE Forum's favourite nutter :T0 -
