4/got.....the veggie thing appeals though,we all seem to eat way too much meat, not sure why or how we came to do this, but I am starting to reduce this a lot and have done for a few weeks now. I used to be one years ago as the whole meat/animals thing I couldn't do,but then changed (don't know why with that either).
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.

Mine are currently in pots on w/sill,have let them die back, but someone told me I need to take out of pots put in a bag and then re-pot nxt year? But my mum thinks this may not work. I wanted to be able to somehow re-pot nxt year if I can to have in flat as love the smell of them.
Earth hour.....I am going to try do it every night, which sould be easy with summer comimg up to get myself into the routine of doing it when winter comes,as you say good for bills as well as planet,so everyone wins.
    Thank you for your reply,appreciated.

well, having a bit of a catch up after a few (spendy) days away - great to read everyone's thoughts, ideas etc as usual.

back on the straight and narrow-ish. went to Mr A's last nite after gym - had to get more expensive and less nice bread as my newly discovered one had sold out:(

bought more sweets for OH, milk, value coleslaw, pot salad (OH), ham. had toasties for tea with old bread, marmite, cheese.

s/wich, biccy, tinned peaches and half a bag of crisps from home for lunch. freezer food, remaining pots and allotment veg for tea.

leftovers for lunch tmrw, final peaches, yog. more freezer contents for tea.

must have left freezer door ajar last night:eek: a few bakery items had part-defrosted. had to chip ice from top of door too. even more reason to empty freezer now!

Well it was a bit of a spend day here, but not as much as I expected.

It's going to a low spend few days as we are heading off for a few days over Easter,I'll pop on after then. I'll need to;)

Calicocat: I agree, I love my kitchen/diner, it's such a lovely, big, light room but to be quoted nearly £5k and that's before worktops is a bit of a shock *sob*

It doesn't help that I also need to do my bathroom. Both rooms are in a state of half done-ness, i.e. walls have been removed, carpets/vinyl ripped up, so they look very messy, but are liveable with, just!

So, today is going to be a hunting on eb&y and other places day, trying to shave pounds off the quote where I can.
  • I may have to get a few bits and bobs today. I really wanted to wait until Thursday before i spent again. It's mainly for packed lunch for hubby, he does like to take sandwiches. I only have two slices of bread left and nothing to go in it! Will have another look to see if i can find anything.
Will let you know if i have a spend.

    morning!

I had to make a small purchase yesterday as we'd run out of white bread(I only have brow but the others prefer white) so it was 60p for a thick loaf at Morris*ns.

Today we are hoping to go shopping early - usually go Friday but I'm working late and also on Thursday. We are trying Aldi as we have a £5 off a £35 spend voucher to use.
    Do what you love :happyhear

I am still laughing at the 'concrete',gotta say concrete for breakfast sounds much better.....and the crazy thing is I am thinking of making some kind of concrete myself. Lol

It made a mighty fine breakfast indeed, so much so, that I shall be having the same again tomorrow and have now put the remainder in the freezer so that I can use it up at my leisure - there is rather a lot to get through.

I did my main shopping tonight, so that I don't have to face the chaos tomorrow. Whilst I am not actively fiscal fasting this week, I only spent $43 (about 21 quid) and that was mostly meat for the weekend, hot cross buns, milk and bread as I have loads of eggs, fruit and veggies left from last week. I did however forget to get meat for Sunday / Monday dinner, but that's given me a good excuse to make the minced beef wellington I have been meaning to do for a while. :D

Hope to get back on the FF wagon after the long weekend, not that I am planning to spend much but will depend greatly on the weather if we go anywhere.

Hope you all have a lovely Easter.
