hi everone is different some people do it so spend absolutely nothing, me I do it for food and toiletries only.
Thanks, yes that would make sense as there's no way we can't spend any money at all, except maybe on Sundays. I will need to discuss this with OH to see if we can cut down on what we are spending. Our conversations just seem to revolve around finances lately2016 Grocery Challenge January: £296.20/£300 February: £262.05/£3000 -
Day 2
Evening - tea tonight is the remains of the broccoli (stalk n all), carrots, potatoes and a chicken leg found lurking in the freezer - along with the ood sugar free jelly trifle. I purposely didn't take my purse to work with me and have drunk copious amounts of water so its helping my health and my purse.44 day challenge

Hello everyone
Well 11 nsd in a row, really pleased with myself but still haven't made much of an impression on the cupboards. Missing fresh fruit but hey ho I still have tinned.
Jackieo that's a brilliant idea about putting the stuff to use first on your work top, that's something I'm going to do so another sort out will be Done over the next couple of days. It will be fun to see what sort of meals I end up with.

I have had two LSD this week but have done pretty well this month. It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.0

Hi all, I haven't posted for a while because I just cant get more than a few NSD's under my belt before I have to go to the shops again. I think the main problem is that I don't have much in the freezer/larder as I purposely ran it down as I was fed up of sitting on so much stuff that wasn't getting used up. I do menu plan but then we always seem to run out of something and I don't have any substitutes in the house. Just wondering if I did a big shop on a Thursday and tried to go through to the following Thursday, would that be cheating because I would be shopping for the purpose? E x0

Day 3 and still holding my head up. Using bits and bobs from the cupboard and not being tempted to spend anything.44 day challenge

I am going shopping today since I'm out anyway with a GP appointment, but then I am hoping that we can go a few days without spending anything. From Monday, I m going to be putting travel fares in a separate jar so that it is catered for and we are not actually 'spending' when that is used - does that sound like cheating? Anyway, hopefully, I can sort what we need and then, once it's gone, it's gone. I will just have to stress to OH that there is to be no 'topping-up' of supplies :rotfl:2016 Grocery Challenge January: £296.20/£300 February: £262.05/£3000
