Buffy starts a new chapter...........

Hello folks,

I haven't been a round much recently, I can only say I have been super depressed and in no fit state for diary writing of any kind.

The being out of debt was not the magic wand I hoped for ;) I was quite sad to discover that I still can't get a mortgage without having a hilarious amount of savings. Which I know is obvious......but well I was hoping for a special Buffy deal!

As well as that work was dreadful and I was having an interesting time with the ex. Everything was feeling crap.

Things have moved on a little.

Work is still dreadful(!) however we have had OFSTED and although it is rubbish there is no longer a stick to beat us with. It is bad tho. I am looking for another job.

Money is goodish. I have savings and currently a a small Credit card bill of 300 ish pounds due to vets and petrol.

Organisation wise my room is good, the conservatory is bad. :rotfl:somethings never change!

So why start a new diary?

Basically I need to get saving. What ever I decide to do I need money. SO I will continue on my quest to have 20,000!

And I need to get back to the whole MSE way of life. I have been off for 8 months - as in not saving and not being as cheap as I can.............

I could have had 8,000 pounds by now but hey lets not dwell on that.

so MSE plans,

1. surveys
2. 365 pounds challenge plus other challenges in sig.
3. Ebay. I hate it. am much happier shopping from it. but will have sell things. (plus preloved)
4. savings in my various accounts.......I even have a guinea pig account, sad but true.
5. Keep my monthly spends below 400 pounds. I had 150 left last month which was pretty cool.

Life plans

1. continue going to the gym twice a week.
2. keep up a beauty regime (fancy way of saying wash my face!!)
3. keep room tidy
4. go out once a weekend
5. work on decluttering the conservatory and the shed.

Another reason for starting the diary is that I miss people! so hello again, just got to get ready for stinky work

Hope everyone is ok

Love Buffy xx
Nevertheless she persisted.

good luck on your savings plan! i am quite new here, and can't believe how I lived without all the support, and just having somewhere to ramble that won't judge!

depression is a very scary thing, I hope MSE and your diary helps you stay positive

    Hi Buffy :)

Sorry things haven't been going well. Glad you are back on here. I'm sure there are good times ahead for you.

I don't think it's sad to have a guinea pig account, I think it makes you a responsible pet owner ;).

    Take care and good luck

    HI Buffy
Nice to see you back again.

I am sorry to hear that you have been so down. It must be hard when you get no relief in any area of your life from stress.

Yeah to a piggy account. Sounds very sensible to me. Are you still doing the tutoring as well as teaching?

good luck with the surveys. I haven't been doing very well with mine recently so I will have another go aswell.

And well done on going to the gym. It is a great destresser. I had a nasty bout of tonsilitis and it seems to have carried off my swimming willpower as well as my energy. Hoping to start again this week.

    good luck with your goals

a piggy account is an awesome idea. not sad at all! i used to be organised and had a savings account for my first ferret as he used to be on heart tablets and had to have his belly drained of fluid nearly every month; unfortunately when i had to have him pts I stopped the savings and then my next ferret got ill and had to go to a specialist that cost around £600, plus all the food and after care he needed after that...hence most of my debt!

can i ask a stupid question? how do i subscribe to a certain thread? am i being blind? i probably am!
