Dusty, yes I do still miss my dog. It's not the same walking without her. It's much quicker on my own, I spent most of the time picking her up when she fell over. I try to talk to other dogs but I'm sure the owners think I'm loopy
I can't believe she's been gone for 15 months now.
I've sorted out some paperwork and done some shredding and recycling.0 -
(((HUGS))) Pollybear. It's 10 years next week since Penny-Dog crossed the Rainbow Bridge, and I still miss her.
Remember though, while they live on in our hearts, they're never truly gone.
ETA Oh gods, I'm gonna start crying now.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

It takes a brave person to love a pet, we know there is a good chance we will loose them someday but we still open our hearts to them totally. I'm teary too now.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Don't think its just me but £175 for 2 nights away seems ridiculously high for a year 4 trip. Its the best part of two weeks summer childcare costwise, or a months tutoring, all of which I think are better ways of spending the money. I don't even know what it is they are doing there either - I'll be asking questions about validity when they get back.
I quite agree. DS2 has brought home a letter demanding 120 for a 2 day trip to Cadbury World and Alton Towers for Buisness Studies BTEC. I also have to furnish him with money for his evening meal, breakfast and lunch the following day when on the trip. Rip Off or what???
Dusty - I hope your DS is enjoying his birthday. It did make me laugh when I saw your post on FB about the steak.:rotfl:
I've had mixed news today, a friend's dad has died and my best friend's dad has won a high court judgement for his professional reputation.
I've kept on top of the ironing and feel very pleased with myself. Downstairs is looking pretty good - I will concentrate on upstairs tomorrow.
I'd better get dinner on then it's present wrapping for me - DH's birthday tomorrow.0 -
Big cheers and fingers crossed here as Ben has gone to sleep in his cot and not his Moses basket :j we are on night 5 of sleeping in his own room. I'm out most of tomorrow so going to have a HHC followed by multiple HHI as inlaws are visiting on Saturday for a few hours :eek:0

Thank you for your kind words about pets - and losing them. Sorry about your steak Dusty - typical cat! Tigger just got shouted at for stropping on my living room carpet (the only decent one in the house). However, Polly was a good girl0

Sorry to hear of your friend's Dad's passing. The other Dad was it the MMR case?
Feeling exhausted now. DS1 seems to have enjoyed his birthday and has been spoilt by family members.
Module results day here tomorrow A2 and AS for DS1 and a GCSE module for DS2.
My engagement ring is fixed so I may drive over and pick that up tomorrow or may leave it until Saturday depending upon how I feel tomorrow. Off to create a list for you lot.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
