A Supermarket is a place of choice......the customer chooses what they want.

Did you choose your fish or did you let the fishmonger choose? Because if it was the later then you got what you were given. End of!

You should check that you have received what you wanted the same as you would check your change.

As for the actual service you received, yes you have every right to complain but not on here.....You should put a complaint in to Tesco!

But reading your posts, as someone who works in CS, I wouldnt have felt the need to help you with your attitude.

Its hard to check a Fish once it has been wrapped up and had a barcode stuck to it, what do you want me to do unwrap it and hand over a wet fish to the checkout operator, you great big mellon.

Given it is supposed to be prepared should I have has double checked it was dead? or if buying baked beans open the tin just to make sure it has beans in it.

I really don't know where to begin with how absolutely stupid that statement is - but here is a try this is a forum for venting.

Well that explains why customer service is getting so bad in many places, people like you behaving as if actually helping people is somehow a favour on your part rather than THE JOB!

Thanks for popping along and sticking you ill informed, stupid opinions out there. Don't you have some complaint letters to throw away or something.

The way this thread has been progressing, surely the earlier post should have been:
A Supermarket is a plaice of choice......the customer chooses what they want.

Obviously a very selfish person who has no respect for any one including themselves!

What you are refusing to see here is that wherever you work you are NOT someone's property or a number or, more to the point, someone to be abused by the general public.
Which has been your attitude from the start.

If your 'VENT' was plausible then you might have been helped rather than ridiculed.

Please THINK what you are saying before abusing people by name calling it isnt pleasant and your vent will be discarded as a joke.

I didn't think we could make it,
some people hoped it would never happen. Indeed I was even having my doubts mid way through page 7 but here we are page 8.:T

Thanks Jules22 for being late to the show.

  • Never buy fish from a supermarket (especially Tesco) - use a good fishmonger. Cheaper, fresher, not previously frozen and knowledgeable staff.

Slight problem when there aren't any fishmongers in the town you live in.
