Hi
Ive just been looking for something like this myself, if you check out credit card comparison sites, there are a few, i was thinking of going for the Quidity one myself
its a credit only credit card, so you have to top it up to use it. this can be done easily at paypoint outlets. it is accepted where you see switch/ maestro.
this one offers no monthly fee, free to top up, and free to apply if you top up with initial £20.
go to http//www.quiditycard.com or which credit card to do a comparison
there is a fee of £1.50 for each purchase/ withdrawal but the best offer i foundPROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTSDEBT FREE DATE 29th MAY 2010...... CANT WAIT!!!!0 -

Go for the Yorkshire bank readycash account, you get a maestro. I have been meaningto open one myself but havent had time as you have to go in the branch.0

According to Yorkshire banks website there are no Yorkshire banks within 30 miles of me
I have looked into cards such as Quidity, the problem that i have with them is that they have to be topped up at a paypoint, and with the double buggy i cant get into any of the smaller shops round here  and end up walking to the co-op and spending a fortune while im in therewhich pretty much defeats the point of doing it
Anymore suggestions gladly welcomedThe Only Thing Men Can Do Right Is Get Everything Wrong

I know Sainsburys accept electron.
They are dearer but I'm assured by someone who shops on line with them - that it works out cheaper because you're on line you only buy what you need & don't make impulse buys like you would shopping in person.0 -
I would try phoning up a yorkshire bank and explaining your situation and see if they will let you open it by post or something?
They seem really helpful I went in there today to open one, got an appointment for monday they said it will be opened there and then no probs as long as not bankrupt or previously declared bankrupt and i will have the card within a few days. Cant wait.0
