  • Some good news today!!! I got home and the cat had come back!!!! Yay!!!!! Big sigh of relief! I'm not so much a bad mum now! At least I only lost her temporarily!

Phone is due for an upgrade today! Been waiting about a year to go sim only...... Logged onto the website and it is down for servicing! Not sure I can be bothered speaking to someone on the phone. They always try and persuade you to do a deal you don't want to do!

Pay day tomorrow!!! (oh at lassstttttt!!!) so should see my debt reduce by a fair chunk!

Other than that not much going on today.

Thanks for all your kind comments about the job!

    Gmood xx

Glad the cat returned from their travels. No doubt they will have a nice long sleep. I hate phoning mobile companies it drives me mad.
Hope you have a good day tomorrow it seems to have taken ages to get to payday.

    Yay to cats return.

I am already looking forward to Febs pay day lol :)

Hope you have a good weekend x
  • I have been so caught up in all the little targets I have made for myself like saving £2 coins and Nectar points etc, that I had totally missed the fact that I was approaching the 20k mark in my debt payments! I paid £800 off today from my wage and a good bonus I got, updated my spreadsheet and saw that I have paid over £20,000 off already!! :j:j:j:j:j

Its not even my 2 year debt plan anniversary until 12th March!
It is really weird because I have spent so much time feeling like I wasn't really making a huge amount of difference.... It's like it has suddenly crept up on me. I'm a bit gobsmacked to be honest!! I'm like "How on earth did I manage to do that?" I'm feeling so pleased with myself today! Ha ha! Big head alert!!

I have also managed to log on to my mobile site and upgraded to a sim only plan, saving myself £30 a month! The downside is that I have to wait to my contract to end in 3 months before it takes effect :( But still its a huge saving so I suppose I can wait a little longer.

Hope you are all having a great day too and enjoy your weekend!!

  • Why is it every time I have an "up day" (see yesterday's entry) I have a "down day" soon after?

I ploughed everything I could afford from my wage into my debt yesterday in a desperate attempt to reach my debt free goal. Then last night a group of friends pressured us into going out as we've avoided them for months (due to trying to get out of debt and not wanting to spend money in the pub) so we went out, to a town a few miles away which meant taxis and we spent £45 and had a rubbish night.

Today I woke up in a panic as I had remembered that its my Mum's birthday this week and I haven't got her anything! Then realised I can't afford to after my large debt payment / going out last night. I ended up having to use vouchers that I got for christmas to buy her a present!

I don't know why (as it's not the end of the world) but it put me on a real downer...... maybe it's the weather..... hormones..... who knows ...... but I have felt miserable all day long! I keep telling myself that I won't have to go through this any more in a years time, once I have paid everything off, birthday gifts etc will not be a big issue. I'm not feeling too positive though!
How is it that yesterday I was thinking time flies and getting out of debt wasn't that hard after all and today it feels like time stands still and it is impossible? Am I cracking up?

Getting into debt was the worst thing I have ever done........ getting out of it will be the best.....

  • Oh you really are an inspiration so keep at it. There are always pitfalls...just need resilience in bucket loads!!!! I lost a tenner last night and was GUTTED! Had to just put it out of my mind and carry on! Soooooo annoying though...oh no! I can't let go!!! Hahaha!
