Looks as if the problems have started up again.

Just logged on to my Cashplus account and received the message:

We’re currently experiencing unusually high call volumes and it may take longer to talk to customer services than normal. This is due to a 3rd party system problem which we experienced earlier this week.

If your question is not urgent or can wait it may be easier to try again later.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your continued patience.

Just to add - I have experienced this too this week. Tried to pay for a gig ticket and twice it said the card wasn't working. Site and merchant have not had money but it is showing as having come out of Cashplus account twice. Luckily it is for a small amount (2 x £9.66).

However, I cannot get through to them by phone. Asked for a callback yesterday afternoon but no response. I need to make a larger purchase but no way if they are messing up like this. Argh!
  • I had over a hundred pound in my account monday i tried to withdra £100 and the atm says temp unavailible when i got home i could see that this £100 has been deducted from my balance when i never even recieved the money. i tried calling the phone lines monday and the phone lines were down, managed to get through tuesday morning at half 9 which cost £5:70 in a phone box. • The triple charges made this week have now all been returned to my balance, but nothing more...no sorry, here's £5 like March...it feels like they're hiding.

Since the phones are not working, at least the free ones if you have a calling plan... I got the email for their main office.

    Backoffice@apsgroup.com

It's payday tomorrow, and I'm sick of calls/emails from my utility companies saying your direct debit wasn't paid, please provide another form of payment, when you try to explain ...they laugh and ignore you.

My financial ombudsman complaint is being investigated, but APS have 8 weeks to respond.

Use the above email to get your point across, get your refunds of limbo payment attempts.

Backoffice@apsgroup.com try this email.... Good luck.
  • This is a worrying trend especially as some people use this card as a bank account.

I have one and have had one for many years without issue, but I dont use it to spend only to pay out DD for which I have had no issue at any time.

Someone mentioned in another post of issues of possible financial problems of APS, but I can find no more about it.

The whole point of these cards is to have one as a back up, but no good if you then have to have another back up.

I was going to use it to store money but no more due to these problems. Its a shame as they offered a unique product with all the add ons like iadvance and overdraft and purchase protection, which I did use once and they paid out no issues.

  • They gave me £20 gesture of goodwill, for my complaint from June's outage. My husband was escorted by the police to a friends house to borrow £15 for the fuel he tried to purchase using APS card which was experiencing third party problems. He had £5 in cash which he left with cashier, but they still called the police? Shell stations!

£20 For almost getting a criminal record, not to mention embarrassment of it all.

Haven't the police got some real work to be doing?
  • Don't know if this thread is still active but here's my story..

Have a cashplus card for about 2 months as i couldn't get a bank account... long story short never had a problem until today when i tried to pay for some groceries on a petrol station close to home... card declined!!
Tried to withdraw on the ATM outside, same... went to HSBC and Natwest ATM's.. it says your card provider declines the transaction!
All my wages are there, i can see the balance online and the bloody CS closes at 5pm...
All this on the 21st December... How's that for a Xmas carol?!
