Unable to use my CashPlus Pre-paid card :(

Hi All

I have a CashPlus card and loaded it up yesterday with all my left over cash, went to use it at tesco today... declined.
So I called cashplus and they said there was no issue with my card, tried it at the cash point... declined!
Got home to check my cashplus account and I cant get any info on there and my balance is "unavailible"
Cant even see my statements!

Just tried to call cashplus again and it came up with an automated message saying that lines are all busy, call again later!

Anyone else got this problem?
Please let me know.

Why does this happen when I need my money most :mad:

    Well, just a quick update, Ive just managed to get through to another automated messege saying that they are experiencing "technical difficulties".
    Still does anyone else have this issue?

    Yep, same here!
    I am working in Qatar and use cashplus to give my wife some extra money easily. She went to use it at a Tesco garage about an hour ago and it was declined. I logged on to find my balance unavailable as well. She has rung them only to get the "Technical Difficulties" line. Not very good seeing as there is a few hundred quid in the account.

    Looks like its happening all over then.
    I just tried a HSBC just in case and it spat my card out.
    This is so so annoying... makes me want to do the really british thing and write a letter!
    But I guess thats not going to get my money to me quick!
    Hopefully its all working soon.
    Im guessing that when the balance is availble, it will be all good to use.

    Yeah I hope so. It would have hurt to put a notice on the website or send a message to users for them to receive when they log on though.

    Yeah, I agree.

    But I guess as with all things, it will be brushed under the carpet.
    Its really not fair, Ive got all my cash on it... and could do with it working by 5pm... not looking likely though.. dam it

    I have just had the same problem in Asdas petrol station... i finally got through to cash plus and they said there are difficulties to there systems and will be back up and running at some point today!!!!!!

    Lets hope it does go back on today.
    I bet there is literally thousands of people with the same problem.
    This not good at all... but hope its back on soon!
    I`ll keep this updated until its back on.... if anyone else has this issue, please post up!

  • Unfortunately the same just happened to me at Sainsburys. The account is currently unavailable. Seems to me to be prudent to spread money, rather than rely on one account.

    Just checked my balance and its availible on the cashplus.
    Going to try it at the cash point now!
