Has anyone used madasasafish? Especially as they are offering 4 months free if you migrate and 2Mb line with a 2 gig limit for £17.99 which equates to £12 a month for the first year.

Madasafish seems to be in the Brightview Group of ISPs, along with freenetname, Totalise, Global, IC24, Care4free, dialstart, Callnet, Jings! & TotalServe (see https://www.brightview.com/our_isps). They mostly offer very similar services. Haven't seen/heard any bad reports about any of 'em (now I've done it - wait for the flood of dissatisfied Brightview customers!!). Visit each of them to check for current special offers and/or discounted deals.

    Good luck!

Me, I'm gonna check e7even's new offer when the existing one (free modem & connection) expires tomorrow night- unless they extend it - 'cos I'd rather buy my own wireless modem/router (and PC adaptor) instead of the free USB modem offered. Got any news, Mike Paterson (you seem to be "in the know" about e7)?

does anyone know a cheap (& good) broadband without a 12month minimum???

I'm moving home soon, but don't know how long i'll be there..... Mum has broadband, but I'll never get on as much as I want, unless I get my own connection!!!

(sorry if you're reading this mum, but on the other hand, you'd never get on, unless I had my own connection!!)
  • Do you have 2 lines? If not, you can't get a second ADSL line (even if you have it may not be that simple). Besides, if what you want is simultaneous access from 2 PCs, it would be better to connect them both to one broadband line, unless you can't cope with sharing bandwidth with ma.

Simplest way to share the line is (assuming mother is using ADSL) to get and ADSL modem router, and connect it to the network port on each PC. Should cost around £40-60, much less than the connection charge for a monthly contract,

If you don't want a wireless router, ebuyer sell a 4 port Ethernet + USB router/modem for £27.
