You can't apply online until march 12th. My bonus ends on the 9th so it looks like a trip down to branch for me after work today to get my transfer rolling.0

The 3.3% is only available on balances above £2,500, that's me counted out then!0

You can have less than that but that's the minimum opening balance. So you could open it with £2500 then withdraw some and still get 3.3%
Although ive used up this years allowance so I need to use my transfer for my opening balance. I wonder if they will accept that?0 -

I don't have the £2500, I haven't got anywhere near that.0 -
Mines all transferred. Did it in branch as online won't allow applications until 12th march. All very easy (assuming the transfer goes through ok!) although they try to pressure you into taking out current accounts and mortgages.0

Maybe go with Halifax at 3% then transfer across if you reach the £2500 in the next year?0 -

No. It isn't 3.9% for Nat West see this thread.
While acknowledging that Santander's service can be a bit of a shambles at times (although more so with their banking than their savings accounts) I would much rather have a Santander account that does what it says on the tin than a Nat West designed to deceive accountI came, I saw, I melted0 -
Being a bit dense here, but looking at the terms of the new [I'm not allowed to post links, apparently, so sorry about that] Santander Direct Isa Issue 9 -- paying 3.3%...
Can I simply transfer in my old ISA (which is more than £2,500), or do I have to also deposit a min of £2,500?
I find the terms a little confusing at the moment, so any brainy answer would be most helpful.0 -

I had the same query! But as long as your old isa transfer is £2500 or more it's ok.
I did mine yesterday this way.0
