Just had an email from Lloyds pharmacy advertising a 24 hour buy one get one half price on fragrances. I haven't had a chance to flick through yet but there may be a few bargains....free postage on orders over £40

Onto another Superstore and I literally scanned the ENTIRE chocolate and seasonal aisle!!! :eek: If something gets reported now for 1p that I missed I will be GUTTED! :o I found zilch! I must have scanned in excess of 50 boxes of chocs and clocked up a few miles and still left empty handed I found 2 bags of Spogz (halloween stock) and though ah well atleast that's something....scanned at 40p!

They may have been watching you

My advise to you is to write back to the store, telling them that you have received their letter regarding the allegation. Tell them that this upsets you greatly as the allegations are baseless and you have done nothing wrong. Give them a suitable time frame to carry out their investigation (ca 2 weeks), and tell them that you expect to hear back from them.

i wouldnt be sending newspaper copies or links or anything of that sort to them. They have to prove that you are guilty of insider trading (whatever that is in T's terms). You do not have to prove anything at this stage.

Also, let them know that you will be recording all communications, lest the silly cow of a manager contact you again via the phone and tell you more porkies.

ETA: you have done nothing criminal, they cannot possible have filed a police report for insider trading of chocolates, much less buying 1p chocolates. No sane officer in this country would entertain that. Even if they fabricate evidence etc, the worst thing that can happen is you being banned from that store. they cant press charges or take you to court for buying 1p choccies.
